ED and the lifestyle drugs

I don't know if any of the rest of you have this problem, but my Prescription plan no matter what I say will only authorize 4 pills per month. When I ask why? The reply is those are lifestyle drugs.. So i ask what does that have to do with my situation. Does anyone have an answer? Perhaps we need a stronger lobby for the men. I keep saying to my wife - if this were a breast cancer issue - it would probably have been resolved by now. Perhaps we haven't been vocal enough. Any suggestions?

I've used ALL DAY CHEMIST. Even the VA tells me that I have sex more than the average male and that the norm allows me to have 1/2 pill every 7 days. I just laughed at the Dr. and told him he was nuts. He might be able to get me another two pills in February. Maybe! There has to be an answer besides him telling me to 1/4 the pills to solve the problem

clocknut, ADC doesn't 'require' a scri[t. The do/did have a place where you could type in the prescription for them, if you wished. They also do/did have a section to go that you could use their doctor to get the script filled. Not a problem, just order without one and it'll be fine.

And I would add, no, no mention of a script, that's not how it works. You simply order. For 1 of the drugs, they require that those ordering from the US state that you are not using it in US - to protect themselves.

Several of my medical experts are well aware of my practice, and understand completely. Anotherwords, they certainly didn't try and talk me out of continuing the practice.

My wife and I have been ordering from Alldaychemist.com for about 14 months. Anything we have a prescription for we order from them if they carry it. Including all of the ED medications. We have not had any problems with them or the medications we have ordered. There have been multiple doctor's visits since we started buying from ADC. The results of these visits are just as good as when we were paying for meds here in the states.

I have insurance with prescription coverage. It is still a LOT less expensive to pay 100% out of pocket to All Day Chemist. For example, I am supposed to take 5mg cialis daily. With insurance that was going to cost me about $100.00 per month. Right now it is costing me $11.25 per month

No I do not get a sales commission from ADC

The generic Cialis is Tadalafil. It is available to everyone but the US, and you have to reply to their email when you order that you are only gonna be using it outside the country, as in a very frequent international traveller. Yep, a lie, but they will send it then.

This is practical knowledge for many guys without great prescription coverage, and I'm glad it's available to everyone. My husband's 3 month scrip for Viagra got him 36 pills for $20 through Medco Health, an American company. We know we're very forturnate to have the coverage, and we know too that it could change in the future when contracts are re-negotiated.

What I still fail to understand is the question originally posed by zoph3388 - why are these drugs that are useful to treat a condition brought about by a medical procedure for cancer treatment not considered worthy of coverage and only considered "recreational"? It seems that the damage caused by the RP (my once happily, fully functional husband now is on his 6th month of ed) should be addressed with a medical response. If a cancer treatment causes the side effect of nausea, they medicate it. If a woman has a mastectomy, many insurances will cover reconstruction surgery. Instead, men are forced to buy drugs from overseas manufacturers if they want to maintain a healthy sex life with their partners. There has been a great deal of coverage on the scams and hazards that are a part of "underground" drug sources. It's not right.

Breast cancer used to be the disease no one talked about, that was treated when necessary and usually too late, with total mastectomy. Thanks to years of lobbying, and brave women like Betty Ford who spoke so frankly about her own diagnosis, women have a much better chance at early detection, treatment options, and support. They have many more drugs used to not only treat the cancer, but also used as chemo-prevention to keep at-risk women from developing the disease. I agree with zoph, but would eliminate the "perhaps" in his comment that men need a stronger lobby. The remaining stigma needs to be removed, and a grassroots movement with strong, vocal figureheads would be part of it.

Sorry about my rant, but I get so angry when I think that the guys here dealt such a lousy hand need to deal with more bad cards in the form of a cold, uncaring insurance industry.

That was just too easy:  I ordered the Cialis equivalent (tadalifil) from www.alldaychemist.com - I paid $45 (plus $25 for handling and shipping) for 60 20mg tablets.  I plan on  cutting the tablets in two, giving me 120 10 mg tabs - a four or five month supply.  The same Cialis through my health plan would approach a cost of $600.  It's true; they won't ship to the U.S. unless it won't be used in the U.S.  But, no there's no swearing in with a  hand on a bible, just select "option one" on the follow up email ADC sent me and the order is on its way. 

I've used alldaychemist 5-6 times in 2 years.

I am VERY glad that source is available to me.

If they send you an email they want you to reply that you wont consume in the usa, done. If you follow the shipment you will see it stops in US Customs for a week or so...

But I get my delivery and I have no shame.

The least of my concerns while trying to be as complete as possible under the circumstances is worrying about my effect on someone's patent.

Tim, I went to my bank and got a visa gift card. There was no up-charge and they took the funds right out of my checking account. At time of purchase they told me I could not use the card on web-sites that required you to be 18 or older. It went thru with no problems. Was you walmart card a visa card, cause as I understand it, they will only accept a visa card. You may want to try a card from your bank. I explained to the bank, that I wanted a one time use card for internet purchase.

The issue of being able to use a card outside of the US is something to always ask about at the issuers. It has to do with the account types - long story. If a card says not useable outside the US, and they accept it, they may not get their money.

Anyway, remember that after all the last ADC unpleasant discussions, it was decided to no longer discuss them.
