Arch,
You are doing well and improving. Physical exercise is good for the pelvic floor and should help to strenghten the pelvic floor muscles.
My strength of control came after about the 14 month mark. Before that time I feal as though I had adequate control with dribbling during physical workout and/or having some alcohol. My exercise was physical like what you are doing in addition to Kegel's. As time went on I lost some control and began using pads more often especially at a party or working with up and down motion or picking up things.
Mt URO and PA recommended that I attend some training sessions at our local center for Sexual Health. I attended about four one-on-one sessions with a trained nurse. Pelvic floor models, photographs, and physical descriptions helped me tremendously as I now knew what I had to control and exercise. I also learned what to expect when I did the recommended exercises. To verify the exercises were understood and performed correctly, the nurse would stand behind you while you performed the exercises in front of a mirror so she could tell if the proper abdomen and lower pelvic area was moving correctly.
I followed through the training and have continued until this day 2-1/2 years later. Am I perfect? No. But I have much better control and know when to use a pad which is rare.. If I get lax in my exercises, then I dribble more but much less then I use to.
My suggestion is go to someone who knows what they are doing such as in a Sexual Health center.
Good luck and keep exercising.
Marc
