First post ever hope it works. It has been just a little over 2 yrs since my surgery. I have tried most of the oral meds with no success. I also tried injections. They worked but it hurt so bad I quit. In the last month I have had 2 erections during the night but that has been it. Have any of you been in a similar situation and did you show any improvement after 2 years?

Prostate cancer diagnosed: May, 2008 (age 64)
Gleason score: 3+3=6
PSA 4.0
daVinci radical prostatectomy: Nov 17, 2008
post-surgery Gleason score: 3+4=7; negative margins from surgery
T1A

Soccerdad, welcome to the forums. Many of us here have ED so you are in good company. It's good news about the nocturnal erections as that means things are still improving.

For injections, consider Bimx. That can give results that are as good as Trimix/Caverject but without the ache.

I am almost three years after non-nerve sparing RRP and did notice some small improvements between 2 and 3 years, but now expect that I am about as good as I will ever be. I rely solely on the pump now and get good results with it.

I expect others will be along shortly to share their experiences...

I'm three years post Davinci and my wife and I tried three approaches - daily 100mg Viagra (nothing but headaches), vacuum pump (worked but it was so off-putting that we abandoned it) and injections (I lost my nerve after a few tries and before we got to an effective dose..and she couldn't do it for me). In all this time I think I had one spontaneous erection and it wasn't good enough for intercourse.

Unfortunately, I lost my wife over the summer to a third recurrence of breast cancer so this isn't as urgent an issue as I once thought it was...but I'd like to have Willy working just in case (dirty old man thinking). Then, last week I awoke on two successive days with morning wood. Again, it wouldn't have been sufficient for intercourse even if my wife was there, but it totally surprised me. Unfortunately, it hasn't happened since, but I can ********* to a soft erection on some days now, which I couldn't before. I asked at Henry Ford Hospital since I had a followup appointment today and all they could suggest is maybe I might be able to function better because I'm not under so much pressure to perform now. I don't think that's a satisfactory answer myself and I believe I'm going to look for a local doctor who specializes in ED.

Soccerdad, I just posted you a note on another thread about the drug in your injection quest. I said the same thing as Piano.

hello there soccerdad i havent been on for a while but your post caught my attention, while experimenting , i did notice that while some ed drugs worked , others did not, viagra was ok , sometimes while cialis worked great , doesnt hurt to throw some  l arginine in there as well as it supports circulation , just a thought ,,,all the best ..........dirt tongue
