I have been using TRIMIX with almost no result.
comination is pge1-papa-phent 10mcg-12mg-1mg/ml
dosage is 1ml
My uro says its to difficult to change the combie as I asked about it.He told me to increase the amound.
Im with Kaiser and he doent seem to care to much.
Any sugestions?

My dosage is 20:30:1 and it works fine. I use .25 ml otherwise it lasts too long. I think you need to push for a different prescription.

Have you also tried any of the 3 ED Oral drugs at the same time?

1ML is a tremendous amount of medication

I use less that 1/4 of that .22 units and have had a 100% success rate ,,works every single time

1st. The procedure you use to administer has everything to do with your success rate
2nd. You are on less than full strength Trimix
3rd. Kaiser has nothing to do with Trimix, How can an Ins company help you make a shot work ?

Check the many prior posts on the proven ways to administer Trimix or Bimix. It is far from an inject and expect an erection procedure

I agree with MrGimpy about the procedure. I also found that the first needles that I got from the pharmacy, worked ok. But eventually it quit working. They were 31G, 5/16 inch long. Caverject and Edex use 29G, 1/2 inch needles. When I switched to 1/2 inch needles, it started working every time.

I had to use .35 to work for me. Since then I have experimented using the VED to get 50% erection before injecting making sure the the needle goes in between 3 and 11 o'clock. I then rub the area for 2 minutes followed by using the VED to keep the trimix in and draw blood in. I now use .25 and will try .2 next. It works every time.

I started trimix 2 week ago. I have used it 3 times using .30 and it worked every time until last night.  My wife gives me the shot (I think she enjoy torturing me LOL) and nothing happened. Not sure why. Could it not gotten in the right spot?

kbars, failure once in a while is common and expected, even. The drug may have been injected in tissue outside the cavernous cavity, the drug may have raun back out of the penis before being adsorbed, and any number of other reasons. One failure isn't anything to worry about. Do you use the preplump method of getting some blood into the penis to enlarge it somewhat, then injecting and holding the blood./drug mixture in the penis for a couple minutes by clamping with the fingers or using a penis ring? That sems to work for those who experience failure often. Wait a couple days and try again. smilewinkgrin

Hi Kbars,

James is correct, you ( or wife) may have missed your target. There are 2 corpus cavernosum chambers, one on each side of the penis that need to receive the medication

The big advantage of getting a partial erection either by stimulation or VED is that these chambers enlarge as they have started to fill with blood. In their enlarged state that are a bigger target for your injection. This means a more likely chance of success

I use the autoinjector, and its easy to place the tip right at the correct angle and simply press the button, no seeing the needle enter the skin and no jab with a needle which can result in the wrong angle into the chamber

The massaging of the injection site is key as you want to work the medication into the opposite chamber as the needle only inserted medication into one side. Massage while holding the alcohol swab on the injection site and count to 60 that should be enough time to work the medication over to the opposite chamber.

With the other hand, constrict the base so blood does not flow out of your penis, this allows the medication to be absorbed before it is flushed out by the bloodflow

Done correctly you should have 0 pain and not a spec of blood loss

Oh, I use the 30guage needles, used to use 28's and there is a big visual difference in the size, go for at least 30 gauge, 31guage is even thinner

Oops, mrblue, seems we totally missed your welcome to the Forum. Thanks for joining us and sharing your story. Your numbers seem off, as far as dosage of 1 ml, could you have meant .1ml or 10 units on the insulin syringe? 1ml is a complete full 1ml/1cc/100 units syringe, depending on how it is marked. That's a lot of Trimix for anyone. If the ratio is 12/1/10mcg, then that strength is somewhat weaker than the "normal" or standard ratio that we see here, which is 30papa/1phento/20mcgalprostadil, so you might want to discuss with your doctor.

hi all
just gave myself my first injection at 20 units and no results. if aiming at 10 or 2 o'clock do you aim it straight down or come in at an angle? thanks in advance

The goal, and target, is the cavities that fill with blood, which lie alongside the center mass or 'gristle' of the penis. When injecting at the 10 or 2 position, aim for the center, with a downward angle. The needle should be short enough to not allow penetration into the center, but the tip should stop inside the cavity to deposit the drug.

James: I was told to inject at 3 and 9 and go directly in. The more often I do it the better I get at injecting. Very seldem have duds anymore. :)

Jeff, yes, that's what I was told. I was answering the question of specifically the 10 and 2, which I now notice, is the position of choice in the instructions in the first link. I've never tried the 10/2, but may try it- just to say I have.... tongue
