Just got the results of my latest psa and it's up again. Started going up in June from .08 to .14 then .38 in November and now March .59. Have appointment with the cancer doctor on the 5th, will see what next.

Not sure why my signature is not showing? had prostrate removed, then radiation 2 years later completed in August of 2008. Guess we didn't get it all.

Very sorry to hear the news, hope the oncologist can give you a good game plan. I am in similar straights, with now both a failed surgery and failed radiation. Good luck.

Sorry to read about your rising PSA. It's always a bit scary for all of us here to read about scenarios like yours. The frightening possibility of this happening to any one of us is always in the back of the mind of most guys here. Have I mentioned that this cancer really sucks?

Sorry about the rising PSA. It is scary to see the PSA rise after using all curative measures. I hope the Oncologist can give a plan that keeps PCa in check for a long long time.

Thank you for all the support, I will let you know what my oncologist has to say. My wife and myself have been doing some reading and have read several different reports as to when to start HT and are a bit confused as to when you should start. Would love to hear from anyone who has had surgery followed by radiation and now is faced with HT. Thanks again, Bob

As you can see my husband is pretty much in the same boat . His  March/11PSA went up to 1.50 from 1.07 in two month.We have to wait again for the next PSA in june ,HT is the next step for him ,his Dr said HT is the silver bullet so you do not want to rush in to it.The waiting game sucks.Hang in there .

I agree the waiting really is hard on the nerves. That is our question to the doctor if HT is the next and only step how long do you wait, you don't want to wait to long but also don't want to be in a hurry. It's a wave of emotions. We keep going back and thinking should we have done radiation soon after surgery instead of waiting 2 years? we thought we were in a good place when the path report came back good and the psa (1.7) was so low at time of dx and then the doctor felt a nodule and it started to grow and that's when the radiation started. Again did we wait to long? I don't know why my signature won't show up on any of my post?

I'm in the same condition as you, a real kick in the face.
Your history shows a serial rise in psa during 2007 ? It should have remained undetectable after surgery.

Choices now are adt, clinical trial for your stage.
You need to go to the best Medical Oncologist that treats pc you can find.
I'm currently on a 6 month clinical trial at Dana-Farber in Boston.
I.m very aggressive with my treatments.
