Ok, so I'm not complaining - just got a call from my Uro and my biopsy was negative - great news! I of course was convinced I was going to need surgery next week, you know how you're mind can go....
Anyhow, here's my stats....
48
6/08 PSA 1.5
10/09 PSA 1.9
11/10 PSA 2.4
5/11 PSA 2.9 and fPSA 3.4%
So with the increasing PSA, although not high, and the almost non-existent free PSA at 3.4% I was sure there's something going on. I've also been taking propecia for over 10 years so I figured my PSA may even be on the low side - so I was even more convinced.
I don't have the actual report, but will plan to get a copy and of course they want follow-up in 6 months - and I have other questions, like what else could be causing this? Could I just have some sort of mild prostatitis that's messing with my #'s?
Did not care for the biopsy experience at all, not horrible, but just don't look forward to repeating it and now I'm seeing that in my future too....
