David, just want to touch base, say hello, and let you know I've been reading this thread, plus any others you start, and am cheering you on.

Thank you Sheldon, I always appreciate your concern and kindness.

I will be making a new report late Thursday after I have my major consultation at the Gibbs Cancer Center. Believe it or not, I feel nothing emotional about going, no apprehension or fear, its just business to me. The following week, will have my next 3 month PSA, and since it has been rising quickly, I am expecting another jolt in the number, so no surprise there. Then follows my next scheduled meeting with my Uro, which I enjoy my visits with him. So within the next 2 weeks, I will have a better picture of what is going on, and perhaps see my real options, if I choose to do any additional treatments.

I hope things are holding fine on your side. My best to you.

Hi David, have been reading your post with interest, and I think it's great, funny isn't, you can never feel the cancer, and not be aware of it at all, I am not suffering nearly as much as you from the side effects of the further treatments, but since I was diagnosed, and agreed to the RP, I am impotent, and my bowel (from the radiation scarring) has changed forever, so I have reminders now that I have Pca, even if I can't feel it. Other than that, and the fact there are some rogue cells running around in me, I live my life just as before, and David, I have had that strange calm for a long time, glad you have it too.

You have been a guiding light and a rock to so many on this board. Quite some time ago (a year? two years?) I told you that you should write a book about your experiences. I think you chuckled and said, "Yeah, right."

Well, I'm bringing it up again. If you just collected all the questions & answers you have provided on this board, threw in a little background, the book would write itself.

So take a break, and think about it. I think you could do a bang-up job.

Mal, we make a fine pair, don't we, lol

kcragman, there are PC guys that have much more intersting stories than mine. even though i am a published writer, i only write fiction, never been able to finish a single non-fiction book in my life. also, more than a few here would simply think that i didn't know "technically" enough about PC to be useful. all i understand is the pain and suffering part, the support part, etc. the rest of it i leave to my doctors and medical team.
