I am not at all sure I am trying to post in the right place, but I thought

it might be interesting to some who use MUSE to tell about my

experience with travel.

I had it packed with my baggage on a trip to Hawaii from Seattle.

It didn't work at all.

Recently I traveled to and from San Diego with Muse in my hand

baggage on the plane and in a friends house in my bedroom.

I didn't use it there, but did after returning home to Seattle.

It worked just fine.

Has anyone else experience with having it in hand baggage?

Well you did not mention if you transported with a Kool-Pak?? Should be.

One thing I noticed once, but not sure if it affected the actions of the pellet or not.

If you let the injector warm up too much (by putting in your pocket for a bit, or leaving it on the nightstand in anticipation of using),
the little pellet will warm up to the point where it starts to get mushy and the
little pusher-shaft will go **through** the pellet instead of expelling it out.
You end up with the inner surface of the injector shell slathered with the pellet and very little makes it out into the urethra.

So i never warm that sucker up - just right from fridge to down the hatch...

On the other hand (the free one!), MUSE is kind of hit or miss anyways so sometimes it might do just fine and other times it's a bust. Never sure what causes success or failure.

I am not sure what you mean by "the free one".

I find that if I keep Muse in the frig until use, it works well.  As I insert it, I keep rotating it, more or less, to avoid poking it into the walls of the urethra.  Twice I must have done that, for it bled a little, and had none of its intended effect.

Storing in a breast pocket of my shirt is almost certainly bad.  In airline luggage too.  Presumably because of temperature effects.  Pity.

Apart from hand luggage, how else can I store it for a trip?  You mentioned something else which I did not quite understand.  It must be small and light.  Comment.  And thanks for reply.

Small and light: The Kool-Pak I am mentioning is NOT a beer cooler container or anything like. It is a 4 x 4" x 1" package with that sludgy blue Magnesium Chloride/water slurry that freezes solid and then you drop a couple of them in with the MUSE .. maybe in another insulated softpack bag of some sort. Should be good for 4-8 hrs I think.

Hey another idea is to try a six-pack of TRIMIX-GEL ($150). No refrigeration needed. It works about as well as MUSE .. same hit or miss .. but usually no sting or burning feeling. And it costs just as much as MUSE too (around $30 a splurt retail).

(I was awestruck to see that my 18 count of MUSE cost the insurance company $800 ... wow .. I pay 80 of that as a co-pay.)

These days I use Trimix shots for real action. For other rehab I dissolve my 1000mcg MUSE in a vial of bacterostatic water (5 or 6 MUSE in 30 ml) and use a 1 ml sploosh up the urethra as a "Tweener" rehab -- used on days between Trimix shots for rehabbing and getting some wood for bedtime. That converts 6 MUSE into 30 Splooshes (not really good enough for intercourse, but good enough for a firm grip and could even do multiples per day). Yeah I just have too much ED medication and too much time on my hands ....

Thanks for reply.  Where do I get a Kool-Pak?  At what cost?  Sounds good.

Trimix-Gel is a prescroption thing, right?  Is it administrated like Muse?  With a little thing through the front of the penis?  Muse comes with this thing in a refrigerated box through the mail.  I get 6 at a time.

Some have mentioned pain from Muse.  Not I.  I find it wonderful.  Not too expensive from my insurance drug supplier.  Maybe $70 for 6 - cost to me.  I wish it were not so temperature sensitive though.

What, no kool-paks inside that refigerated box??

I use Medco and to save shipping costs etc they simply ship out 18 MUSE every 90 days -- and the styrene box is loaded with koolpaks....

I just noticed Amazon sells the cool paks under ColPac brand. But they don't come cheap!

Yes Trimix-Gel is by prescription/mail-order -- from only one place in USA. You get your doc to send in a subscription for 12 times... and just buy one pack to try.
I recommend the highest dose version -- 1500mcg PGE-1. It's never been 'too much' for me.

Yes, my wife too told me told me what a "cool-pak" is!  Thanks.

I have many of them from previous packages of Muse that I received.

The stuff in "Muse" appears to be the same as in the injectable stuff called "alprostadil" (sp?).  What exaxctly is in "Tri-mix"?  The same or different?

I got the latter once but didn't use it because I was reluctant to stick a needle in myself!

I looked up Wikipedia and found this:

"Alprostadil is also available as a generic. The major cost is that it must be mixed by a compounding pharmacy and supplies of alprostadil may be difficult to obtain. There are different formulations, including Bimix and Trimix, which may include papaverine and/or phentolamine. A typical mix might be 30 mg of papaverine, 2 mg of phentolamine, and 20 mcg alprostadil. As a generic, it is much less expensive than the pre-packaged injectables. It is premixed and must be kept refrigerated and the user must load a syringe with the quantity needed."

"Trimix" seems to need refrigeration too - temperature not too high, 86 degrees has been mentioned. Do I understand that you have found it better than Muse? Muse always has worked for me. No pain. Ready for "action" in 30 minutes.

Trimix-GEL does not require refrigeration -- it is a freeze-dried product and is fine at room temperature until it is mixed with the gel -- then use it or refrigerate it.
That is one-shot-at-a-time mixing. Straight MUSE does give me a little ache -- not much these days. It did sometimes give a pretty good annoying ache in the early days, but not anymore. That is probably why guys don't like it that much -- who wants to suffer thru months of MUSE before you get a tolerance for it?? No one except me I guess.

My Trimix shots might give a little bit of ache -- but only because it gets you so wicked firmed up (the Good ache). The main claim to fame for Trimix is it is dirt cheap on a per-shot basis compared to MUSE (and also the less ache too).
