Every little ache and pain

So, I have PCa, and I'm scheduled for proton beam therapy fiduciary markers to be placed tomorrow at UPenn. Which is the good news. Hopefully I'll be in treatment in a few weeks, based on their schedule openings

The thing I struggle most with, is that even though my bone scans and pelvic CT were clean, every little ache/pain I have has me thinking the worst. For example, all of a sudden my left hip started hurting, mostly when I walk or try to lift it out from a laying down position. Logically it's jus something muscular, but my mind keeps thinking that my PCa has quickly spread to my hip bone and is causing me all kinds of trouble.

Is it possible for PC to spread that quickly to the bone from a clean bone scan 2 months ago?

Oh boy, you sure nailed what happened to me after diagnosis. I had mysterious pains everywhere. While they were doing my bone scan the nurse asked "do you have pain in your right shoulder?" And, wow, the pain instantly appeared.

Now we could say that people who respond like this (that is, me) are just jerks. But I think it is more that we are just people. Get us to focus on pains and we will find some to focus on. It is like my certain cure for the hiccoughs -- run around the outside of a church three times without thinking of a fox. Impossible!

Understandable & normal feelings.  I felt nothing when

they said I had PCa.  Thought I wasn't paying attention

to my bodys signals.  When my toe itched, or had a headache

I thought I had toe & brain cancer.

I visited that center before going with surgery.

I live an hour east of that center, grew up in Hazlet.
