I expect to know mine within the next few hours. I HATE these times.

Got the news and it is not good.

0.60

He wants me to do the PSA again in 30 days and maybe 30 days after that, just to be sure.

After that it's HT.

We are all taking July and August off..No more PSA tests until after Labor day...Enjoy the summer...Good luck with yours....

Ouch!!!!! Now you have to worry (more) all summer......

I'll be reporting in July.
I had a blood draw yesterday, but don't get the results until I see the rad oncologist in two weeks. I needed to get the blood draw out of the way because of some vacation and other scheduling issues.
It's been 4 years and 3 months since I completed SRT.

I'm sorry to read about your less than stellar last report. I'm sending good wishes your way.

My last PSA was in June and the next one is not due until Jan 12.

I'm scheduled for my first post-op PSA on July 25th but I probably won't get the results until next month.

Have a good trip to Sturgis, Slink. That's on my bucket list.

I get my 6 month PSA on July 29th. See uro 2 hours later and he should have results in computer by then.

Mel,

Eat those PomX pills to get that PSA reversed. I hope the .6 is an anomoly and comes back down.

I had blood drawn last Thursday for my 6 month PSA check. It goes to Bostwick so it takes at least a week to get back to me. I had other blood drawn two weeks ago and my T is <3, so that is where the docs want it right now and indicates the Eligard and Jalyn is working. I was with my 20 month grandson all last week and I am sure he has more T than I.

Also thank you for the great report on the visit with Scholtz.

Sorry about your latest PSA Mel. I took my monthly test last week and I expect that I will get the results in the mail tomorrow or Thursday. I will post them. I am a bit more on edge as I went off HT in May.

Sorry about the number. darn.... You are in good company if that is small consolation. .

I have my 2 year test toward the end of this month. I'm deciding when to do it. I want to be consistent - fasting diet the night before (easy), no sex the 48 hours before (easy), no hard work outside for 48 hours (difficult).
I realize it probably does not make a difference but it is the least I can do.

Hate needles and yet look forward to my PSA results good or bad. If anyone has a doubling time, it is just one test that aids in diagnosis and then other testing to establish a protocol. PSA is not THE endall but important.

Sorry to hear the results Mel. I hope for a decent drop for you on your next blood draw. They draw mine on July 25th, and I will get the results on the 28th.

Popping in tomorrow and have the blood draw. Gotta run my wife down to MDA for dr appts so I called my Onco and told them to put in the orders for the PSA test.

Been a little over 2 months since my last draw. Thought I might check to see if anything I am doing is making a difference. If not I can go back to steak and beer every night. To hell with it.

Sorry about your number Mel. Sure hope it takes a big crash next test.

Hi guys,

i am on vaction in Turkey just now and had blood drawn before we left and i get my results on the 21st when we get back, i try not to dwell on it as there is nothing i can do but I DO think positive at all times though,

Hello All.  Will be going for my three month PSA check at the end of July.  Visiting with my uro the following week.  This one should be interesting as it is my first check after stopping HT.  Fingers crossed but I know I am not going to jump back into Zoladex injections until I see a pattern developing over a longer period of time.

My uro is also considering other forms of HT if needed down the road again.

also taking July off: looked up next appt, and it's around Labor Day. am curious where i'll end out, as my Rad Onc was yet another displaced person, since Joplin St. John's/Mercy is NO MORE...well i've got a couple months to find where his new office is...

Just wanted to pop in quickly at lunchtime and report the results of my latest PSA blood draw taken on Mon., July 11.   The number is 0.30.   This represents a slight decrease from the 0.32 reading taken on April 14.     Overall, as evident from my signature, there has been a slow upward trend over the last two years of recurrence.   I consulted with a radiation oncologist in Oct 2010, and I am now planning on meeting with a medical oncologist in the near future.   Mel, sorry to see your latest number, but you seem to have a good game plan in place.   Best of health to all,   TB

Duh, I forgot I had a physical due in July. I have blood work done at that time and a good going over from my doctor.
I did have my PSA reading, it was 0.98 and that's a week after surgery.
A few days before surgery my PSA was 2.16. There was never any indication from my PSA reading that I had PCA.
