Viagra Patent expiring, good news for PC ED users.

My pharmacist at Walgreen's told me today the Viagra patent expires in November this year and that a generic version will be available by the end of the year in the US at a fraction of the cost. He also said this will bring down the cost for both Cialis and Levitra as they will have to be competitive with generic Viagra. turn

I saw a story on the evening news recently that talked about some of these meds whos patent expires, will go out of production since the pharm companies can't make their usual profit..

Steve the drug companies have been ripping us off for years on ED drugs. I heard Viagra made over 1 billion in profit last year for its parent company. The high cost is one of the reasons most insurance companies will not pay for ED drugs so the manufactures can basically charge what ever they want.

According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office the expiration date is 27-Mar-2012.

As you might guess with so much money at stake, there are all kinds of games in terms of both law and marketing which the drug manufacturers might play. It should be interesting

Lipitor also expires end of this year and generic version will go from $75 current co pay to $15 per month. yeah   That will save me $720 per year turn See ya later big drug companies turn
