Guys,
I'm back. We were at a local Blueberry Wine /Bluegrass festival. (Maybe next year it will be a Pomegranate Festival.) Sometimes it is good to get out of the house and socialize with prostate holders.
I will send out a reminder as we get a little closer. The dates are
9/23,24,25 but you are welcome to come early and stay late. We have room and there are hotels in the area.
For privacy I never mention the
location publicly or give out email addresses. Just send an email to my address here and I'll fill you in.
Here is the announcement I made a couple of weeks ago:--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guys,
It is hard to believe but the third annual GFMPH NY Weekend Retreat is only 10 Weeks away! Time sure flies when you're getting your PSA checked regularly. The dates are 9/23, 24, 25. You are welcome to come early and stay late if you want to make a vacation out of it.
For those newbies in the bunch, "GFMPH" stands for "Good For Men's Prostate Health".
The GFMPH trick is one of the true benefits of getting PCa! If you use it properly, you can get any request answered in the affirmative. Anything!
Here's an example or two:
(Psst! Guys, Hide this from your wives now!)Put on your best sad, puppy dog face and say:
You: "Dear, I heard that eating a box of chocolate covered cherries is GFMPH."
Her: "Would you like me to get a box for you now?"
You: "Dear, I heard that doing 'xyz' in bed is Good for Men's Prostate Health."
Her: "Would you like to do that right now? I'll take a shower!"
It's amazing. I got a Leupold VX2 3-9x40 rifle scope because I told her it was GFMPH! Fantastic.
Give it a try.
You: "Dear, I heard that going to the GFMPH retreat in Rochester, NY, Sept 23, 24, 25 is GFMPH."
Her: "Please go! I'm tired of hearing about
pee pads and PSAs and the guys on HW. Go and enjoy! Get out of the house already!
Please!"
Mark your calendars guys.
Click here for the minutes from 2010 if you need justification.
Around a month before the event, I'd like to get a rough count. Nothing cast in stone. It just helps decide what we can do and how much food/lodging I need to arrange. Campers and RVs are welcome. We'll have the hookups for you. (Sonny's "Beast" was awesome! I'm pretty sure Mikey had a bad case of RV envy on the way home.)
Just like the Baton Rouge meeting hosted by Cajun Jeff, Corvetteman3, we will have separate events for the ladies. Maybe a Finger Lakes winery and cheese tour. This will depend upon the number of attendees.
I'll send out more info as we get a little closer.
Can't wait! (Anticipation is GFMPH!)
Jeff
