PCa and retirement

I am lucky, the PC will have ZERO affect on my retirement plans. When I turn 60 I will be getting Tricare and my Navy Reserve Pension.
Combined with Social Security and a small pension from one job I had, it will replace about 98% if my current income.
We have also kept our expenses down and saved quite a bit of money.
The plan is to retire at 62 to Southeastern Idaho (where I was born and raised)and spend winters in Arizona.

I was DXed at 59 and continued to work after surgery for another year and a half. Worked half time during three months of radiation treatment (travelled a fair distance daily) after the year and a half, went back to work for the rest of the school year(administrator) and then decided to retire at age 62 a year ago June. Just slipped from one job to the next. That fall I began HT and I started to work at the university  part time and I am continuing this year as well. IMO keep working at something as long as you can. I feel great and this job is just perfect, giving me time to do what I wish.  I pay for my own health plan right now but if the HT sucked everything out of my drug plan ($1300 an injection for HT) I arranged to have "Trillium Support" here in Ontario and they will subsidize my drug plan to a deductable amount. If I need HT again down the road it will be covered when I turn 65. Plan ahead as I did as now I am making about the same as when I was working full time as an administrator, maybe even a little more.
