Since I have been away a short while, I see a lot of new people here. Rather than Welcome each one individually, I am sending out one large WELCOME,and it sucks you have to be here mad
As this place and people have helped me through a dark time,which is still not over, I can't imagine not getting along with out it. These people are the best!
Feel free to ask questions,which you may get some silly answers,vent or what ever you need to do. Remember that humor is still the best medicine.You can choose laugh or cry and I choose to laugh smilewinkgrin Even though I'm crying about missing the GFMPH gathering this month. cry

DaSlink. I like that little twist you put on your post .I love to fish and i look forward to many hours fishing in the phx area.I hope things are going well for you.you say you been gone for a while.Where have you been.Its been since Jan 25, is life good? Im a newbe and getting ready to transform, is there any insight you like to share about the side effect and the emotional side of being on the other side. i heard that some people are just able to get on with their life and other's can't.what you think about that?I have been spending a lot of time viewing hw.and "Its really helping me get throuth this"

Hey Bogerman,

What fishing in Phoenix are you talking about?, unless things have changed since my last visit there is no water there. I know up north they have ice fishing so maybe in Phoenix you have "sand fishing". smilewinkgrin  

BTW stop the worries about the surgery, I left you a long post on another thread by Metalman on what my true experience has been since my surgery.

Bogerman(funny stuff), my surgery now just seems to be a dream.Life is going good as far as PCa goes! Work is slow so I'm not working. As far as side effects,well...incontinence was a big issue at first . it took me five days after catheter to make a stream, then about 3 months later I was 99% continent,only having gleeks when I have over stressed my bladder by beer intake, or sudden movement. I have found out if ya wear multi -colored checkered shorts, no one can see em and they dry up quick.
The other side effect would be the ED issue,and it is still an issue. I take a 20mg Cialis 3 times a week . I also have a pump which I use for therapy, and of course there is always manual therapy. I beat it like it owes me money !!! As far as sex goes well, it's like trying to shoot pool with a rope! I gets done but my wife and I laugh the whole time.
As far as emotional, well at first it was in my every waking thought and now it "is what it is". I will just deal what ever this silly disease throws at me next. I have a plan!

Thats goog stuff coming from a regular member. Ill try and worry about something else today besides my prostate surgery.Since ive been dx i havent been fishing.i find it hard to concentrate.But this saturday im getting the boat ready and gong fishing ,taking the grill with a steak are two,and gonna drink some beer and have a good time like the old day.This buds for you my friend.
