Good News and Bad News; Request your input on Surgical Clip

Went for my 3rd follow-up PSA. My results were good at <0.1

Here is the bad news: Two days later I get up to use the toilet and I pass a .75 x 3/16 inch white plastic object. I kept it and photographed it.

The following day I emailed the doctor's office and explained it to them. The following day their nurse called me to say that the object is a surgical clip. Also, I may have up to 5 more in there and a chance exists where, those too, may eventually pass.

What do you all say?


Since my Oct 1, 2010 robotic I have regained continence and 95% erection (let's say, "good enough for fun"). I have been happy with all my results until this clip event.

Although it would be a bit hard to search through them, there are a lot of posts on the board about surgical clips. Another member was going through a removal when I first visited here, which provoked me to ask my surgeon about them.

He explained the use, and used my IGRT planning CT to point them out. It did not seem that he had experienced many problems over the years of open and DaVinci surgeries, but said yes, it is possible.
