Wish you the best of luck for your upcoming surgery. I had my surgery done 3 weeks ago & took 3 weeks off. Working from home for a few more days since I have a long drive (hour & half each way) to work. No incontinence but didn't want to take a chance with sudden urges to go to the bathroom esp. if I get stuck in traffic!

no doubt that is an issue. Bladder takes a while to smarten up and initially even if continent it's harder to hold it in for long stretches. Driving in to work, 1-2 hours was a test initially, no doubt. Luckily the bladder re-adjusts pretty quickly.

My doc said to lift nothing over 5# for weeks...after that I can do whatever I like. I work in the OR and its not physical, but in urgent situations I would have to exceed the 5#. Im taking 4 weeks off. Kinda hard to adhere to. I have instinctively lifted my 3yo (35#) twice and my 45#dog after it bit a friend.
