Well I go for my next 6 month followup on Friday morning.... PSA Anxiety in full mode right now....blood work done last week...

Quick ? each time I go for my checkups they also do a urine test in office what do u think that test is for? Always wondered....

Check to see any blood in urine?

Will keep everyone informed on how I make out!!!

They check for blood and UTI.... One of urine tests found too much blood two years after surgery. One of the surgical clips was being rejected by my body and I had to have it removed...

Probably mostly for UTI's, a standard thing for urologist offices to do. good luck on your results.

A urine test is standard practice for my uro. Same as the rest - check for UTI & "extras" - blood, etc. Even had to do one the day I had my injection training.

Would seem a bit strange to work in a job where the path to your desk had an obligatory stop at a toilet, but at least better than the colo-rectal guy shocked

My urologist takes a urine sample each time I visit. In fact, there is a sign in the Men's room over the urinals that if you are there for the urologist, don't empty your bladder because you will need to provide a specimen for the doctor.
