Some will know who I am talking about, but legendary voice of the Georgia Bulldogs dies from complications of pneumonia. Larry had battled prostate cancer for years and retired 5 years ago after calling Bulldog games for over 40 years. He had some of the best calls in college football. Just google Larry Munson calls and listen to this character. He was one of a kind.

I live in Athens, GA, where UGA is located. He has been quite a character since forever. I remember when he was diagnosed with PCa, it was all kept very quiet. Article in today's paper.

I lived in Nashville for most of my life. Before moving to Georgia Larry Munson was the voice of the Vanderbilt Commodores. No one could call a game quite like Larry Munson. I was just a kid but I still remember that deep booming voice! I think he moved to Georgia in about 1966. He will be missed by many. RIP Larry!
