BillyMac, here in Perth I ask my Doc, to put "copy to patient" on the path request form, for the past nearly 5 years the results are posted to me 3-4 days later, this is with a lab called Western Diagnostics. This works ok for me, maybe you could try this method?
All the best Mal.

Not sure if this service is available in your area but in BC Canada I can go online to get all of my blood work results as well as past history tests.
So I go into the lab and they draw the blood, the next day I log in to a secure site and read my reports, no need to bother my doc. In fact did that very thing today, my results will be ready to read tomorrow. Copies are sent to my uro and gp.

If you go to the private md website, you can order your own psa anytime, without physician involvement. I get results the next morning, and forward them to my doc. It makes things easy. I end up paying for the test myself, but it is worth the 30 bucks or so to avoid the uncertainty. (After your first test, they give you a discount.) You can get pretty much any blood test you want this way.

What Lab are you using in BC.? Maybe Ont. has something similar, I hope.

When the doc hands me the script
for the Psa I have him include instructions that the results are faxed to him and to me. I've had blood drawn at 3:00 pm and when I check the fax machine in the morning the results are there, usually faxed at 4:00am. These guys are good.

I feel like one of the lucky ones. When I go to the doctor I literally sit in the lobby for 45 minutes waiting for my PSA results. I think it is terrible that people have to wait for days for this information.
peace to all
Dale
