Received my second post op zero today!!!!! Not much pretest anxiety, but the butterflies fly once I step in the Uro office and have the blood drawn. Those 20 minutes are excruciating. I don't know how those that have to wait hours or days do it.

Great news. I usually wait a week as my blood goes to Bostwick and they mail the results. Right now, thankfully no PSA anxiety.

BDC CONGRATS! I asked the nurse last week why I had to wait a week for the results and she said thats how long it takes..I think they just like to mess with our heads.

My lab work can not be done in the Drs office. (they have a lab in the office) BCBS said you have to send it to our preferred lab. I still get the results in 24 hrs. Its all about the insurance money.

cmetalman-   you thinking waiting for psa results is gameful stuff, wait until you get handed HT therapies and continuing scans and other fun things....anyway we do the best we can as patients, we are allowed to express some of the issues.

I'm very fortunate that my Uro is a cycling friend of mine and his practice has the onsite lab equipment to get the results at the time blood is drawn. I'm not sure of the brand but it can measure down to .04. His partner did my DaVinci surgery and has an excellent reputation. I certainly feel extremely fortunate.

Cajun Jeff - I also have BCBS and have no issues.

Zufus - definitely going to check the songs out.
