We are back at MD Anderson and hubby's PSA came back at .2 from their lab.

Last three prior monthly test were .71, .44, and .035 and done at a lab in our hometown.

Should this raise concern or is it possible to vary that amount from lab to lab?

Just check that third psa reading on 12/11,
you sure it wasn't .35 rather than
.035, then your latest .2 psa reading makes more sense.

looks like you are having a nice steady decrease, which is good. what am i missing here?

Dropping from .7 to .4 to .0 would have prompted me to ask the lab to verify/retest that .035. I would want to suspect it was really .35 (not that you misread it, but that they misreported it), and in that scheme, .2 is a progressive improvement.

Angelle, I wish you and your husband the very best with the treatment planned.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and the expectations of better results ahead!

Would getting tested at a different lab cause the change?

Thanks everyone for the well wishes!

So far, he seems to be tolerating it well. We were told that by the 3rd or 4th day, he would probably start feeling some of the side effects.

Keeping out fingers crossed that this does some good and that he doesn't get really bad side effects.

Best of luck to your husband with his course of chemo. Having you by his side is no small advantage.
