LOL...No...I'm not in the medical field, though I hold three degrees in the physical sciences, have been in research/management for 45 years, have invested in the markets since 1960, have invested in biotechs since 1980, and have been an investor in Dendreon Corporation since 2006. Now, I'm sure, you will embark on a global search (literally) to find me. (;>) Know, however, that I am mindful of the fact that the 'rules of engagement' on this board prohibit posters from revealing their true identity,
I know these boards are sensitive to shareholders...many feel such peoople have a private agenda, and perhaps some do. But some like me have been through Hell and back with this company and Provenge. I only can say I probably know more about the background pertaining to the manipulation of this company's stock; the corruption of the approval process in 2007; what went on behind the scenes within the FDA and NCI before, during, and after the Provenge Advisory Committee hearing; and the seven hedge funds that held counterintuitive trades (large put positions) at the end of March 2007 (include the hedge fund run by one Bernard Madoff) than most people on this planet! As well, I have most of the data relevant to the Bear Raid on April 28, 2009, that took the stock from $24.50 to $7.50 in 75 seconds...something that to this day the SEC has yet to explain. Finally, I have access to people who know Provenge inside and out, including the relevant statistics, and so, I can present material such as I provided above (which was developed by a trusted friend). The only thing I can't tell you is my name (though I would if I could; I have nothing to hide).
i will tell you two things:
First, if you want to read the story of what has happened to Dendreon and why some people are very passionate about the company, read Mark Mitchell's book:
http://www.amazon.com/The-Dendreon-Effect-Manipulate-High-tech/dp/1563431416/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1330910438&sr=8-1
You'll also find an early version of the same story on the Internet:
http://www.deepcapture.com/wp-content/uploads/story-of-dendreon.pdf
Second, between 2007 and 2010, when Provenge was approved, approximately 100,000 men died of PCa...many would have benefited from access to Provenge. Given the AC's high Recommendation, the FDA could have given Conditional approval and waited for the confirming data that were provided in 2009. Who speaks for these men? Where is their justice?
This is what concerns me.
I will, to the best of my ability, provide whatever information I can ... free of bias. There is a ton of good information available. Begin with the Dendreon Web sites. The less I say, probably, the better. Even a fish wouldn't get caught if he kept his mouth shut.
I wish you nothing but the best.
