After a couple of months of haggling with my publisher over details, they have decided to publish my 3rd novel. We came to terms late Friday afternoon, and I am going forward with it.
The manuscript was finished 4 years ago, and even the original publisher wasn't interested at the time. After getting a good 15-20 rejections from other publishers (very typical for a novelist), I put it on the back burner.
Two months ago, my publisher e-mailed and asked if I still had the manuscript and would I be interested.
If all goes well, "Cold Spots" will be in print by the end of May. This time around, they will also make it instantly availabe for Kindle and Nook users, which is great.
This may inspire me to start another book. Also, out of the clear blue, after being published nearly 12 years ago, my very first novel is suddenly picking up a bunch of new sales. A bit odd, being that it is that old, and I am an unknown author. But hey, royalties are royalties.
In my dreary PC world, I viewed this event as a major event to the positive.

P.S. "Cold Spots" is a new genere for me, its a very dark horror/supernatural novel. Definitely NC-17 rated, lol.
