Hi Mr. Moderator,

Tomorrow is our 25th wedding anniversary. May I tell the story of our wedding, or is it against the rules?

I see no reason why you can't, considering every little intimate detail we share here.

If you want to check with the Mod's I suggest you email them.

To set up our wedding, 25 years ago, you must know some details first. I had finished a 3 yr contract in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and went to Dubai for a more free lifestyle. I loved the Middle East and wanted to find work again. Ian had an Import/Export business there. So......

We were married at an Evangelical church in Dubai...our witnesses were two ladies from a rummage sale...I can still see them smiling. I began to cry at the very beginning of the service...didn't have a hankie...sniffed the entire time. When we had to kneel, my knee went through my stocking. The pastor actually stopped the service at one point and asked me if Ian was coercing me in any way. I said, "no, it's the happiest day of my life," tears running down my cheeks. Maybe my black dress ruffled him....hey, it was a beautiful dress. So we became husband and wife....after the kiss, the pastor bent down and whispered in my ear, "if he is ever harmful to you, just come back here." Haha.
We drove to our apartment in the next emirate, Sharjah and IAN DROPPED ME OFF AND WENT BACK TO HIS OFFICE. I was okay with it but have used this many times over the years for personal gain.

Somehow I'd be surprised if I could get married without the work "Batphone" going off in the midst of the vows (I'm on call 24x7, no holidays).

Others today are getting much more of my attention, which as you might suspect, is not a good thing.

See you in September (ouch, didn't realize the musical pun until I wrote that, but hey, if I'm still around, I'll be there smilewinkgrin )

Just curious and cant travel as far as Louisiana but I'm not too far from Rochester. I live just north of Watertown NY and am thinking of going to the next one in Rochester. Any body have an old itinerary or timeline of the last one and what goes on there. Imagine its pretty chilly innseptember so camping is probably out. Thanks, chris

It was cool, but not cold. We had a couple of campers last time. Same scheme as BR - over the weekend, folks arrive Thurs/Fri, depart Sun. I'm not sure that Jeff has fessed up to hosting us again, but if he does, I'll be there.

Thanks 142...probably stay in a motel because I dont have a camper but then again maybe I could rent one....I know its early just wondering if there was a list of what happens...is it just a big party or do you have classes...those kind of things....I guess I can wait and see all your comments from the one in LA.  Thanks 142, chris

I am looking forward to meeting the men and women who have changed my life in so many ways. Too bad it isn't around September 15th, then I would have a good excuse to miss my HS reunion. Standing next to my botox girlfriends, I look like their mother. I hate it when that happens...lol

GFMPH was started 3.5 years ago by Worried Guy. Started with 3 guys meeting over that weekend at his house. The next Sept. He had the GFMPH2 and I flew in for his gathering and we were 6 guys. At that gathering the guys told me that they were going to come to my house the following April. That was last year and we had 16 guys attending from all over the US and a Bronson from Canada. Last Sept Worried guy had GFMPH North 3 and I think we were about 16 guys then as well. At this time it is looking like we will match that number or possibly make it to 20 30 on April 19 - 21. Not too late for any new guys that want to join us. I will be cooking up some real cajun food. We will also do a Crawfish boil, but most important we get to know each other face to face and friendship are confirmed and bonded. It is exciting, touching, memorable and other than that just wonderful. Most of the guys crash at my house on inflate-a-beds, sofas, where ever they can find space.

Cajun Jeff also contacted a local hotel and made arrangements for good rates - a number of people are staying there - especially the guys who bring their ladies

The friendships developed at my first GFMPH last September and outpouring of camaraderie there brought me out of my PC fog and are the main reason I am still an active part of this forum. I found 14 other guys from all over the country who I never met but had so much in common with that are now my friends. Next week I will meet 9 new guys who will also become my friends and part of my support group. How often in a lifetime can so many strangers come together for a weekend and walk away as brothers and friends for life?

To the question of classes - No not really but where else can you sit and talk with guys and gals who are in this same battle? Ask anything - someone has probably gone through it.

We were where your at,wondering if it can happen,the uro's PA worked with us and sex is great with the injections and the pump.Hell using the pump twice a week for therapy and then the injection is more sex than I had the last 36years,the orgasms are great just with the pump! I tried the 500 dollar URO recommended pump but it was no better than the 125 dollar ENCORE pump.It's like anything else if you want it bad enough you work at it till you get it!I didn't have HT therapy so I can't speak for those and it's side effects.I do wish you two the best!

No, this is great information. We will need guidance as far as motel accommodations for the September gathering...I am not a camper type person...and I travel with a lot of stuff. lol I am hoping it will get the Mr more enthused about joining in with posts of his own. We had planned to try filling out his profile with his details today but sleeping was on his agenda instead. He is so tired all of the time, more now than before. He had been an avid golfer, every day even in bad weather but I can not get him on the course since his diagnosis. Ian is semi-retired, he maintains his business from home but is not actively searching for new clients. He does have a great deal of difficulty some days remembering what he is doing, we talk about it until he is comfortable again. He thinks he has a mental problem, I think it is aging and stress. It breaks my heart to see him struggle.

September will be a good thing...

Thanks so much, Rad Bud. It will be a quiet day most likely...we went out Saturday evening and had a wonderful dinner at a favorite restaurant...even my mom had a great time!!??!! lol I am so blessed to still have her in my life, she is 85 years old.

Are you planning to be at the September gathering...I hope so. Have a grand time in BR...

Dulles - Rochester Non-Stop! Yeah. What I'll do about things like transportation and where to stay will figure out.

Yes, I believe we were destined to be together and destined to grow OLD together. I wanted to be with Ian today at his appointment but am having trouble getting some films I need for my surgeon appointment early this afternoon. Really has ticked me off, had so many questions but I have a need also today. So, with great understanding, Ian has the "list." lol

Good anniversary, just to be able to look at him is a blessing.

Glad you both enjoyed your 25th. One can tell within your words your write there is a lot of love, humor and admiration for one another, which is so wonderful. Didn't hear any rumblings out of Houston recently though, if you know what I mean.

Oh yes I would be lost without my "honey to do list" - I can relate to Ian, but often it is easier for us to just smile and say alright honey and go along with it. :)

Busy day for both of you with 2 separate doctor's appointment. Trust all goes well at both of them.
