I'm getting Billion Dollar PC care

My doc was saying that she has some patients that are wealthy with rising PSA; they go on the same regimen as the rest of us. Some have tight control over all other aspects of their lives and just want be able to pay their way to a cure. She laments that there isn't such a thing. PCa is an equal opportunity disease (at least from the perspective of your wealth).

I'm not sure I'd say you're getting Billion-Dollar care - just that the billionaire can't get better care than you are getting. But I'm not sure I consider any of us "lucky".

Medicare is keeping me alive. No doubt in my mind about that. I thank my stars for LBJ, Harry Truman, and other politicians who had the vision. Best wishes.

I laugh at people that claim they have cures for cancer but don't release them because they make too much money treating cancer. I place these statements in my BS file along with the 200 MPG carburator that the oil companies bought up. If they had a cure for PC, they would offer it to Buffet for a billion bucks under the table. Look at Steve Jobs and the movie stars that died from pancreatic cancer. Jackie Onassis died from a non hodgkins lymphoma which is what killed my dad and best friend.

I'm glad you are going to the same clinic as Buffet. That would certainly give one a good boost in confidence.

Oh yes there really is a 200 mpg carburater but it is only big enough to power a very little remote controlled car.

NewspaperLover, Instead of the politicians you should thank all of the taxpayers who pay 2.9% of their income (As I'm sure you did, and maybe still are) into the Medicare program.
