Hi idguy,
Need 'em both -- the people with the leadership back in the 1960s and the taxpayers since. I'm retired now, but paid into social security for 44 years and medicare for most of that. I think the big challenge going forward is that medical technology costs such an incredible amount of money. Medicine didn't really cost all that much circa 1970, at least compared to today's figures. I worry about my children, now in their early 40s. What world will they face when they are 65? A world with no health insurance and certain medical issues? Best wishes.
