Try injecting near the base of the shaft. I found that is better for me. Also try to arouse yourself a little before injecting. That will make the shaft bigger and you can see what you doing better. Finally, after injection, massage a little to help circulate the dose. Below is a good video

While I'm not a seasoned pro because I've only self injected seven times far, it sure sounds like you are not going deep enough. The needle requires more pressure going thru the tunica, the tissue that envelopes the corpus carvernosa. I can sometimes feel the extra pressure and as soon as it gets easy I know I'm thru. I injected yesterday left handed and it took three trys to get that needle in far enough. I would let the pressure off and the needle would back off and was 1/8" away from the loose outer skin. I would then hold pressure against it until I thought it was thru and it backed off again. The third time was the charm and the needle stayed against the skin. It worked great. I'm using 30g x 1/2" needles BTW. I'm 100% right handed and 50% left handed so far. I've stopped plumping junior up because I need to get use to injecting while completely flaccid so I won't have to take the pump with me on an airplane.

Mike -- My ED doc told me specifically NOT to inject at 3 or 9 o’clock. I can’t remember why, but a HW brother has posted that there are sets of nerves running along the outside part of the penis at 3 and 9 and you’ll know if you hit them.

My instructions are to inject at 2 o’clock or 10 o’clock at a 45 degree angle. Think of it as directing the point of the needle towards the center of your penis (viewed in cross section). The proper injection site is around the middle of the shaft slightly closer to the base. Pick up syringe like a pen or a dart. Hold penis by the head and pull straight out, keeping tension while you inject. Touch the needle to the skin - then push the needle ALL the way in.
Push the plunger and then pull the needle straight out; do not twist or jerk it out.
Holding the alcohol wipe at the injection site, squeeze the penis for 3 to 5 minutes.
Then with some stimulation you’re should be ready to go in about 10 minutes.

You should also not feel much resistance when you press the plunger; if you feel a lot of resistance you have probably missed your target.

Btw, if you are nervous about the injection or the results you’re going to get that may diminish your results. Stress and anxiety generate adrenaline which is an enemy of erections. So try to relax.
