Friday I completed my Provenge therapy. I have one more week off and then back to work. I am ready. I feel pretty good. I never had any side effects other than an ocular migraine that started half an hour after my last two infusions and lasted half an hour. I am hopeful that this will work as it is billed to work. I will be starting cassodex soon and see if it will lower my numbers until the Provenge takes hold and starts killing the cancer wherever it is. So happy to have this place and you guys as friends.

Congratulations Todd on finishing! I lost track. Are you still on Lupron?

Congratulations Todd on completion of your treatment. Anxiously awaiting your results. How long did they say before valid data as to the effectivness of Provenge will be available?

Superb! Glad to hear you are done with the treatments. For what was done, I would have expected more side effects - Why? Err not sure!

I am happy for you! Let's hope the Provenge does its thing as it is supposed to.

Despite Provenge's "failure" for me personally, I am still very curious how the "success" will be determined.

It's got to be a relief to be on this side of the treatments.

Here's hoping the treatments did some good.

I sure that being able to get back to work has got to feel good.

It is a good feeling to be headed back to work and to be on this side of things. I will continue to be on the lupron , probably all my life. The next step is to get the numbers down and keep them there or at the very least not moving upwards. It will be several months before we know if the Provenge is doing as advertised. I celebrated this weekend over the completion of provenge and my return to work. I WENT IN DEBT. I guess I figure I will live long enough to pay it off. Oh well, I never saw a hurst go by with a luggage rack on top

Wow, after all you went through, to get it approved and so forth, now its over with. So glad for you, you have it behind you, and we are all hoping it does its magic on you, and gives you the years that you need, want, and deserve. Can only hope for the very best for you in the months and years ahead.

I love the idea that I may end up in remission for a long time.. Give me time to pay off my compulsive bill I made Saturday. I am having a bit of buyers remorse. lol

That is awesome!  I am very happy that you didn't have significant side effects and that you are done with the treatments.  Good for you. 

Looking forward to possibly meeting you in Septemeber.
