Pills or Pumps - Solvong ED

Hi all. I am about 3 weeks post Davinci radical prostaectomy. Catheter has been gone for 10 days and I am starting to feel my old self again.............except of course for peeing myself and the ED. My surgeon said he was not real fond of pumps and gave me a Rx for viagra. However my insurance does not pay for this and it is very expensive.  I am leaning towards going with a pump for that reason. So my questions:

1) Pumps vs. viagra ?

2) Are there medical grade pumps or just the ones on the crazy web sites?

I have pump from Osbon - Timmedical.  It is a rip off but works well for me.

3 weeks isn't a long time.

Pump may help you get blood to the Penis and ebay or even Adult Book store may have one to just getting the blood flowing.

Surgeon after the RP said he should have gotten on one before to build up circulation

Pills and Injections did not work for me.

you will unless one of the lucky few need to do something to maintain healthy penile tissue. As described pumps don't supply fresh blood but they stretch tissue and prevent atrophy. Tablets all 3 do not increase blood flow but inhibit PDGH5 or something. For penile therapy you may need a combination, pump, tabs, injections self what ever. Reality is you have gone from probably 5 or so erections a day to Zip so your willy will shrink use it or loose it they say. Pumps will only stretch the part of your penise outside your body, and in some men this is only a small part of total penile lenght maybe 1/3 the rest is internal, it will shrink without use. That's why some say the sooner you inject the better as it will fill the whole lenght and keep tissue supple, it can take two years to recover so there can be a lot of tissue wastage going on in that time.

I don't know about others, but I don't want an erection that lasts two hours ...

Our arsenal is full. We have a pump, levitra, and trimix. Hubby uses the pump the most. He is a great sport about it, and has an awesome attitude about his ED. Our sex life is only different for the *time-out* to pump or inject, but this has not slowed us down one bit. I honestly believe that great sex begins in the brain. We have not allowed this disease take away something that has always been a very important part of our lives. Good luck! It can work.
