My One Year Anniversary on this Fabulous Forum

Last Sunday was my 1 year anniversary of being a member of HW and this fantastic forum. I found HW while doing a Google search 8 weeks after my RALP and after a discussion with my URO about ED and penile blood therapy rehab. My URO wanted me to try injections with Trimix which I was very opposed to at the time. I Goggled TRINIX and found HW. My first post was “Am I expecting too much too early for ED problems after RALP”?.

Until I joined HW I had not talked with or met any one who had PC and an RP so I was pretty much in the hinterlands of PC knowledge other than what I had read in Dr Patrick Walsh’s book. I looked back at my first thread and those who responded like Riviere, James C, Ausboy, Dave 7, and Lifguyd were so welcoming and full of knowledge, which is why IMO HW is so valuable to the PC community. From those first reply posters I have had the great pleasure of meeting James C in person twice at GFMPH gatherings along with so many others in this forum that are now my lifetime friends thanks to the GFMPH gatherings.

Having PC changed my life in many ways both bad and good. We all know the bad but the good was finding HW and all of you. Less than a month after joining here I started getting emails and calls from guys named Sonny, Corvetteman and Worried Guy about coming to NY for something called a GFMPH gathering. At that time I was still in a PC funk and was not interested in meeting for a weekend with a bunch of poor saps like me who would whine about having PC and its problems. After a lot of persistence and good natured threats like 1000’s of spam emails I reluctantly agreed to attend and even got the guest suite in Sonny’s Beast. When I look back at life changing events in my life this one event will be one of my most important. I have said in other threads many times now because of HW, GFMPH and the so many new friends I have all over the USA and Canada I am in a way almost thankful for MY PC as this whole experience here has been life changing for me in too many ways to mention.

I still owe Sonny, Corvetteman and Worried Guy a huge debt of gratitude for getting me to NY last September and changing my life and outlook on PC. I really believe if I had not gone to GFMPH, that I would still be very active in this forum. These 3 guys along with so many other brothers and sisters who have attended the last 2 GFMPH gatherings with me are now as Sonny says in the official GFMPH graphics “Lifetime Friendships Made. . . Priceless.”

I also want to thank all of our forum Moderators for the tireless work they do in keeping this forum on track, keeping some of us from running down or killing other members and even telling me to tone things down a time or two. These guys put up with a lot of crap from too many of us, for no pay or rewards, and they are such an important cog that keeps HW running so well. I also really want to thank our administrator Peter for his vision and dedication in creating Healing Well all of these years.

Finally I want to thank all of you on HW for not only being there for me but for all the other poor saps who have this crap and join everyday looking for help, answers, information and someone to vent. I know your postings here have not only saved lives but changed so many lives like mine for the good.

The first round in on me September 27th in NY.

WaterGuy/Terry, I WAS fortunate to find this site right after my dix for PC and before my surgery.People like you and others have really put me at ease and made me feel like I wasn't the only one going through this ordeal.
I would tell my wife,"waterGuy" said this .Your name has been mentioned many of times at our house.
So I will be "buying" drinks also.

Terry - water guy - did you ever think you would have a nickname at this stage in your life - let alone a new bevy of friends and supporters - this place - HW as well as GFMPH has been a saving grace for me and others - very pleased it has enriched your life - as you have in ours.

Terry, a year huh? Glad to see ya get a year notch on your belt, and hope you get so many more, you notch the belt right in to. It's been a pleasure reading you here and knowing you in person. You're one of the good guys, fer sur.....See ya in NY.

I didn't realize that we joined around the same time.

Actually, my husband found the forum, introduced me to it, then went research his aquarium stuff. :)

He and I would love to meet you guys and gals in September, but we have had a trip planned for almost a year now... to a fish show! (insert "eyeroll") :)

We will meet you guys soon... y'all aren't that far away.

Also plan to descend upon Kathy, my new partner in crime. :)

Great post Terry, even though you live in Alabama! Was great meeting you and your wife at Cajun Jeff's place, all be it for a very short time. Yes, H/W is a great place to learn, vent and appreciate the goodness is our fellow man. Hope to see ya again someday.   May at a LSU/Alabama football game. You and I had our ops and joined HW about the same time. Thankfully we are both still in the zero club and hopefully stay life members.
