Insurance sure is strange. Even sntranger are doctors that are so mainstream yet a PCA3 is something they don't do.
My husband is waiting for a call back from the DOC. I was not told this but I guess the bloodwork that the URO did had the free PSA of 24%(would of liked higher) and the total PSA came back from his office at 4.1 where his other was 5? Happy it was a lower number, but these where different labs, so I don't know what to think of that one?. I just assume that from everything togethe The URO is going with the antibiotic and rapaflo for the month. Again the biggest fear is having any possibility of aggressive PC and waiting a month, especally with no previous PSA's.
If he chooses to wait the month and the numbers go up or don't move biopsy anyway?
If they do go down, by how much before a biopsy is not indicated? What if numbers go way down but the shape stays the same? Is that not still an abnormal DRE= biopsy?
I guess what I am asking is what is the best case senario at the end of one month? This will help me keep my sanity if he decides to wait. I know my husband is the type that would want to know, but I think the URO will have to be the one to convince him why to wait. Even if hubby agrees with URO and wants to wait and try meds, you think he would just go ahead and shcedule a biopsy just to shut me up
