I hesitated to post this since there are so many here who have challenges I can't imagine. But, maybe my good news will cheer up others and give hope to the newbies. I got my first PSA results post-surgery ... <.02 (indistinguishable from zero).

What a relief. My only remaining hurdle is ED ... hopefully time will help there.

This forum is a brotherhood. If one guy has some good news to report, we are all happy for him and pleased. Hope you have many more good reports for us. Oh and by the way............Congrats on the great PSA number

Great result.

Question, is that the sensitivity limit to the test, or can they go to .01 ?

As a Gleason 9 guy I have to ask.

Is your doctor suggesting any adjuvant treatment ? Some guys will go on HT, some will do RT, some even do chemo, before any PSA rise.

I opted for a wait and see, and after 18 months, mine started to slowly climb.

Good luck, just keep scars careful eye on it. Don't depend on your doctors to know and remember all your test results.

Goodlife - that's the sensitivity of the test. I thought it would be reported as <.01, but so long as it is considered non-detectable, I'm ok with that.

Re: Keeping track of test results ... the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital system has just started using "MyCharts" as a portal for patient records. It allows me to go in and view past results in either tablular form or as graphs, at any time. In fact, that is where I got my PSA results first!

(Regardless, I'm keeping a paper record as well ... it'sa nice feature so long as it doesn't disappear!)
