Max storage temp for trimix

I am working on how to traveling with trimix and wondering if anyone knows the max safe storage temp for trimix.

I am looking at options now for the best small storage device for long term travel and the temp needed for that.

Curt -- all I know is, Trimix needs to be refrigerated, but I get mine shipped overnight from Connecticut to Louisiana and it comes in a styrofoam box with 2 freezer gel packs. I think someone on HW said it can go 3 hours without refrigeration. And I’ve never tried Bimix, but my uro told me Bimix does not need refrigeration … which got me thinking I should try it to see if it works for me, and use it when I travel.

Last time you asked about this it was suggested you keep throwing regular old ice on it...

Odds are you can let it get warm for many hours and that it would Only affect the long term effectiveness.

I use three ice packs to carry my lunch in a thermo case. The ice packs are still cold and partially frozen by the time I get home. ( 9 or 10 hours after taking them out of the freezer)

If you need more than 8 hours - grab some ice.

My local compounding pharmacy told me under 45 degree for storage of Trimix.

Have you considered freeze dried Trimix?

There was a thread on this forum that discussed it. If you are interested in it google freeze dried Trimix.

I have not used it and can not give you any particulars; however, it would seem that it might address your traveling concerns.

Thanks Terry, that is the answer that I was looking for.

There are many ways of storage and with different temp results. I don't want to ruin a $100 bottle of trimix :-(

My pharmacy will, if you ask, pack the Rx in multiple vials, so that you can carry one, and leave the rest at home. I get mine done in two 5ml vials, but they would do smaller if I begged a bit.

The value of that option didn't really sink in until I dropped a vial in my tile-floored kitchen. Tile 1, Trimix 0. It would also allow you to travel with one with less concern about the cost of a "storage failure".

Hi Startech- I would not in this case, I will be going to the Philippines and would have no way of dealing with the shipment on the other end.

Being in the Philippines I would be more concerned with the probability of any ER knowing what to do in the case of a Trimix overdose and the dreaded 4 hour erection. smhair smhair smhair smhair Might be better to leave the Trimix at home IMO.

Hi Terry- Yes, I will be careful and will be very conservative with my dose and will also have some sudefed with me.

I have had no problems with my injections and have been able to reduce from .5 cc down to .15 cc with great results and I feel that my rehab is being succesfull.

I have been getting some natural action lately and feel that maybe, when I am laying next to a naked, firm, beautiful 35 yr old female and thinking about having sex with her that I will just jump to life........ :-)

I understand your question was about Trimix, but I wanted to provide you with my experience with Caverject. I travel quite a bit and this product works perfect for me. I receive six viles of Caverject per month, $45.00 with insurance, that is in a powder form. It can be stored for an indefinite period of time in the powder form. To prepare for use I inject 1cc of sterile liquid into a vile which, at my dosage, results in enough solution for 5 .20cc injections. The instructions state that the solution should be used within 24 hours when stored at or below 77 degrees and not refrigerated or frozen. I have prepared a syringe and left it in a drawer for 3 days and used it with no noticeable reduction in strength. Refrigerated, I am told, the mixed solution will easily last 30 days.

I understand Caverject is not for everyone, but it works great for me with no pain or side effects. The amount I receive per month is far more than I can use because the instructions state no more than 3 injections per week.
