Surgery does involve some trauma, and for a few weeks, the body is getting itself back in order. Also, post surgery we change up our routines a little. A couple of naps a day, maybe going to to bed a little earlier than normal, and possibly sleeping in a little, particularly prior to returning to work.
I know my body liked that, and quickly got in the groove. Going back to work was a little tough. I hit the snooze master (lazy boy) as soon as I got home.
But really, I think all of this is compounded by some depression. There is no shame in being depressed. I think many men try to handle it themselves. My advice would be to quickly tell your Dr. What is going on, and get some medication to elevate your mood a little. Probably won't take much. Exercise, social activities, etc. can help as well.

May I also recommend reaching out and connecting with some other PC brothers ? For instance, the GFMPH weekend coming up in New York will absolutely change your life. You will meet men who are walking the same shoes you are. You will laugh a lot, eat well, and go home knowing you aren't the only guy on the planet with PC. Most likely you will meet someone who has it worse than you.
