1snake is my license plate on my `01 Ford svt mustang cobra.

i know what your thinking, how rediculous,an old guy like  him driving a muscle car. Well I`ve been a gearhead most of my life.I worked for 40 years for a company that designed,manufactured and sold power transmission products(gears). I started fooling around with hot rods in high school and in the sixties began my love affair with mustangs.

We have a small ranch that is located near the South Fork of the Clearwater River in North Central Idaho. And, all of my life, I've been a cowman and horse man, so the pseudo name seems to fit.

Mine is for my new sport, adventure motorcycling. Bought a BMW F800GS in May, two months prior to diagnosis. (I know, post midlife craziness). Due to post biopsy prostatitisis so far only 500 miles on the odometer.

Surgeon says no riding for a month if I elect the radical.

I look forward to some long rides in the future on the other side of treatment.

Been a big Iron Man comic fan since I was a youngun, also currently work in steel manufacturing. Also a bit of a redneck and was a busy Civil War reenactor until age took a little of the steam out of me.

I thought long and hard about even posting on a forum in the wide word of tentacles of information all tied back to various nefarious large databases and this was about as specific as I wanted to get. I take other measures related to how I do and don't get to the forum. I'm gradually feeling a little less need to be utterly closed off about it in real life, but if I start getting spam for prostate cancer drugs, I'll know I've failed out here. So far so good...

It just came as I was think of the journey we've been on and continue to be on and passages seemed to be what is happening each time another bump in this passage through our life as we battle this demon together. Wish we had had something like this as we walked this journey, but it's helpful to be apart of others who understand or are beginning to understand what it's all about.

Well I was born in 1963 so that part is easy.
When I first found healing well my name was living with the beast. It only took a week here to realize my focus should be on the living and not the beast. Hence the name living1963 but y'all can just keep calling me Todd

I had IMRT to treat the PCa. As you all probably know, radiation delivered via IMRT is measured by a unit called the "Gray," named after British physicist Louis Gray, a pioneer in the use of radiation to treat illnesses.

Currently, IMRT treatment dosages go up to 81 Grays, abbreviated as "81 Gy." That's what I had.

Hence, I am the 81Gy guy.

Yo! Back in 68 when the earth was flat, my machine-gunner and driver were doing some housecleaning after test firing the mg; ie., sweeping the shells out of the floorboards and rearranging m-60 ammo boxes & c-rats..I had placed 3 bandoleers of m-79 rounds over my shoulder and had the m-79 in hand along with my m-16 when the battalion cdr and his staff showed up..He stated that I looked like a da-- "gunfighter"..my men laughed and soon thereafter my call sign became "gunfighter" instead of 46 on the radio..Years later, people that recognized me from VN but couldn't remember my name remembered "gunfighter".

Anfidelmar - is the name of a Timeshare Complex - Anfi Del Mar, that my Wife and I owned from '98 - 2008 in Gran Canaria.

It's a fantastic place to enjoy a relaxing holiday, being a 5 Star Gold Crown Resort.

We decided to sell it once the kids grew up, but it holds memories of some wonderful holidays we all shared as a family.

Beothail means "alive" or "living" in Scots-Gaelic. That's what I am now: alive, despite PCa's attempt to take me down. It may yet succeed in getting me but, if that's the case, I hope that it is many years down the road.

I do a lot of sailing and regattas, though not as many as when I was younger. Reaching is a sailing term, meaning getting from point A to point B by using the wind on a certain tack. Reaching out can mean sailing out to a point or, in this case, reaching out for support to some great guys going through the same storm.

I used to be in the textile business. Left it, 13 years ago for a new and different career. When i was, i traveled many times to Italy. A town outside Florence, which is a major if not THE major textile manufacturing center of Europe. The name of the town is Prato.....so Pratoman.

I loved going to that town. Hope to go back one day, at least to Florence, and see my old friends and business partners

Wanted something with my name, Jim, but everything was used. Then I tried Scoop, old news reporter, and it was taken, so I went to my standby TDNJAM. My wife and I are Three Dog Night fans and Jam is one of their songs. We went through a period in the late 90s and early 2000s of traveling around the Southeast US to see them in concert...more than 70 concerts before we ran out of gas. Used to be our favorite activity...now it's taking a nap!
