Any censoring is automatically done by the software that runs the programs for the entire forum. It is self correcting and substituting any words on it's list. It is automatic, deeply embedded in the basic core of the program and nothing can be done by anyone to correct it, except to replace the entire software package that forms what we know as Healing Well.
Yes, I know we are adults, etc, etc, but the fact is it's there and nothing can change it without a complete redo of the site, which is multi-big bucks out of the owners pocket, so we just accept it for it's little idiocyncricies (sp) that is HW.
Rarely does a moderator or the owner have to change, edit or delete individual offending words, so it ain't anyone got a grudge or a thing for potty mouths.
Also, substituting * and such for the letters in a word on the no-no list is against the rules also, so we do need to respect the rules of the owner and accept that this is the way he wants it. After all. this is a private owned site and we play by his rules, which actually aren't very strict at all. There's always a better word that can be used for the more common swear words, gutter language and such. Intercourse is an great substitue for you-know-what, crap works for the other and such. There's no need for the use of the lowest common denominator words. Proper medical terminology helps and makes sure the intent of the word is clearly understood. Just adjust your thinking as you type and you will do fine and not be aggravated by seeing your words blocked or changed.
