Welcome to the site. Hope you get useful info to help you move to the next step in the ED battle.
The link you post is still accurate, as far as timeliness. There's been no big changes in what is available or any new ways of doing it. I'll attempt to answer your questions, though.
What are the correct units of measurement for each ingredient of Bimix/Trimix? (ml /mg / mcg / cc)
the measurements are mg per 1ml of volume, except for the alprostadil which is mcg per 1ml of volume
What are the average amounts for each ingredient of Bimix/Trimix?
Bimix- 30mg papaverine/1mg phentolamine per 1ml of sterile water
Trimix- 30mg papaverine/1mg phentolamine/either 10 or 20 mcg alprostadil per 1 ml of sterile water
Have any dry-mix versions been developed for these meds or do these still require refrigeration?
I am not aware of any dry mix bimix or trimix. There is a gel based trimix that is available, but it is costly.
As to an auto-injector, which brand/model do you guys recommend?
Can't answer that one, but there's only a couple brands, so any will work just as well, I would suppose.
Is the needle in the auto-injector adjustable for depth?
The auto-injector's purpose is to inject quickly and unseen rather than to adjust the amount of needle penetration, I think. The injector uses a common insulin syringe.
How do you determine the correct depth of measurement in an auto-injector?
Most needles are either 1/2 inch length or 5/16 inch length. The purpose of the auto-injector is to inject the drug quickly and unseen, not to determine the needle length to be injected. (I think)
I have read to inject as close to the base of the penis as possible, whereas other say inject at the half way point of the length. Which is better?
The most described point in the literature and self-help site is to inject midway between the head and the base, nearer the base if possible ( from halfway back to 3/4 ways back, and at the 2 o'clock or 10 o'clock position. You do not want to inject completely back to the base. There's a couple of good links in the links post you mentioned that will show you the correct method, with illustrations. If you can't find it or have further questions, let us know.
I hope I've covered your questions, sorry if I can't be 100% clear about
auto-injectors, as I don't have any first hand knowledge of them.
