Marathon almost over

Well, 34 treatments of radiation are almost over. Down to 4 more. It truly feels like a marathon. Although in my case the radiation most likely will not result in a remission, I must hold out hope that it helps in the long run. My case has always been very strange and each doctor I speak to tells me they have never run into a case like mine. But, I am only writing to thank all of my brethren here for their support and advice in the last year. Especially those who have had radiation. I have gone through with minimal SE's. Slight burn at urination is all and only intermittently. Strangely enough, incontinence I started with is going away. Down to a slightly moist pad a day even with coffee and spicy foods!

If I can be grateful for anything, it is for the existence of this forum and those who frequent it. On to what the future holds and brings forth. Gonna take a little vacation when I'm done a do a little fishing and solitary camping to sort things out. Thanks All.

We will beat this crap

It is an endurance contest, for sure. My last radiation bout was 39 treatments, my first one was 35. Seemed like everytime I opened my eyes, I was laid back down on the table, listening to the IMRT machine index it's way around the different positions. Thank goodness for the weekends off.

You are near the finish line, the worse is behind you.

It's good to see the finish line. Not easy to go through but you'll be fine.

Take a good long rest after, you'll really need and you've earned it.
