I to am new to this site and believe me the word Cancer is not a word anyone wants to hear. I have lost several family members to cancer and if I had one wish it would be that Cancer was no longer a problem for anyone.

There are so many who have so much to deal with and yet take the time to help others with there info and things they have learned and had to endure. I applaud each and everyone and to help other with encouraging words with what they deal with
daily!

Please know that you and all the others on here are in my prayers as each of us need all the prayers & encouragement we can get!

My husband was informed this week of his still rising PSA now at 17 doubling in the last two months. Not good!

Husband age 52 Dx in 1996 with surgery
2/10 cores positive
3+2 ( 5 compromise )

15 years later rising PSA
Radiation March & April 2012
Now waiting to see what the next step is which HT is being recommended at this time!

I want to thank everyone for all the love and support and amazing words and prayers you have given to my husband and I. Things have been crazy here hospice is now settled in and going smoothly we have had a lot of family visits and my mother in law is now living with us for the rest of our journey. I am so very sorry I didn't get back sooner I had to get my head together myself... I have a confession a week ago i couldn't sleep we had a house full and everyone was asleep so i thought lol i got on here and seen all the love support and prayers thoughts and stories and I cried because even thou I had a house full I felt sooo alone and then I read what everyone had posted and I knew I wasn't really alone that people are thinking about us him me as i cried my sister in law came down stairs and we cried together and she has made it a point to call me every night and talk and let me know she is here for me :) so i am sorry i did not reply then and thank you all for everything it means the world to me :)

Thanks for reporting back in, as you can see, the support here at HW PC is very sincere and very real. Our heart still goes out to you, your family, and your husband. That kind of crying isn't a bad thing, I am certain you have so many emotions pented up inside, and its good to get them out in a good way.

My best to you, and hope you continue to have the strength to endure whatever lies ahead in your path.

Many care, many pray, and will are all deeply concerned about your hubsband's situation.

cc, please do not apologize...you have your hands full and a very important job to do right now. All I can say is that we are all thinking of you, your husband and your family. You are not alone even though this is a journey that no one can make with you and your husband. But, we are surrounding you and your family with as much love and strength as we can muster, and hope that you feel it all around you.

CC, Nothing to apologize about. I love HW because we are all a family. We share in the joys and successes and we morn together for our set backs and losses. You and your husband have been in my prayers and thoughts for some time.

I am so glad that you were able to finally have a moment to update us, I have been thinking about you and wondering how you and your hubby are doing, so it is good to know that hospice is there and you have all gotten into a routine (at least for now)

As for the loneliness when so many are around, I would think that is perfectly normal. Each of you are probably trying to be strong for the other, which is not always what you all need. Allowing your hurt and sadness and pain to come out is probably just what your sister-in-law needed from you and you needed her in that raw emotional way. it is a blessing to have someone that will be open and feel those feelings with you.

Praying for your continued strength.

There are no words for times like this.

The only thing we can give is our reassurances that we all stand with you. Many in fact will pray for strength for you and your husband.

I hope you can find some comfort in having a large number of people on this site who care about you and your husband although we have never met.

May God be with you in these dark times.

I'm overwhelmed by your strength. Spouse had DaVinci RP less than one week ago and I confess that I've spent alot of time in anger and self-pity. I've felt so helpless but now I'm reminded that I am blessed. I'll be thinking of you in the days ahead, praying for God's grace.
