Anyone had experience with Staxyn?

I am ten months past radical retropubic prostatectomy and I have thankfully posted 3 successive zeros. I am in good health and very active - I run and go to the gym regularly. There are no health issures other than having had PC,  Since surgery it is a lot of work to get an erection and it is not what it used to be. The doctor suggested trying Staxyn to help things along. Does anyone have any experience with using the drug. Are the side effects listed very common? Is it worth the risk taking any drug for an erection? I just want to get your opinions. Thank you in advance for sharing.

Staxyn is the ingredient that is in Levitra, but in an orally dissolving tablet. It is a 10 mg. strength, versus a maximum dose of 20 mg. for Levitra. I find that the decreased dose as opposed to Levitra is offset by its absorption, which is superior to Levitra. I think the biggest drawback is probably the cost, which I bet exceeds that of Levitra, which is not cheap in itself. Ask your urologist for samples (I did) to see if it works, and find out what it costs per pill, to see if you can afford it.

There isn't any inherent danger in using the pills, if you are normally healthy and have been prescribed by your doctor. You won't know until you try any of them, so ask your doc for various samples and take them for a test drive. It ain't like anything is gonna fall off or anything, maybe a blue vision or face flush temporarily. Aches and apins usually mild with some. Never know until you try...

I went through a few packets of Staxyn samples. No side effects, but nothing "substantive" either. That said, I am working with a "no-nerves spared" Da Vinci surgery.

No idea what they might cost - I beg samples at each visit, and keep them until I get enough to do a week or more with the same pill. I get a lot of samples, but then I see my uro and GP a lot, so that may not be a good thing.

I can speak to my daily Cialis. We are in the $25+ territory per 20mg pill these days (retail US).

I tried a couple of samples my uro gave me. Same drug as in Levitra but in the form of a slightly odd-tasting mint. It works quickly and does surprisingly well considering the limited dose it provides. And it comes in a cool box (or at least my samples did.)

The Staxyn box was quite the little engineering effort. Maybe that's why they cost so much?
