Post Biopsy Questions

Couple of questions after my first biopsy....

1. I have no blood in my urine after a small pinkish tint on the first day. However, ejaculate is different (is that the right word? i'm trying to be proper, since this is an internet forum not me talking to my friends in the street). My question is, how long should this generally last? And will it last more or less, if i have more or less sex? [img]
2. a week before the procedure, i stopped taking the following:
baby aspirin daily therapy, Lovaza (synthetic omega 3 prescription, for high trigycerides, Vitamin D, and Multi Vitamin. Docs office told me these were all potential blood thinning agents. But i forgot to ask....so my second question is, how long after the procedure is it ok to go back on?

My hubby takes the same things you do and he started taking them again the day after the biopsy.

Consider that you now have a number of holes through your rectum wall that need to heal. I was told to avoid aspirin completely if possible during the biopsy & surgery recovery periods. Since I don't take many as it is, I can't compare to a daily routine.

I was taken off fish oil for that entire period.

Post-biopsy, my "fluids" looked like dirty motor oil for weeks.

As always, consult with the doctor.

Thanks for the responses. I've sent an email to the nurse who works for my doctor in preparing patients for biopsy, and gave me instructions to stop all these meds. I should get a response tomorrow.

Seems to be improving, looking, as 142 described, like dirty motor oil at this point, although not too dirty. So i think the bleeding has stopped, and its just leftover dried up blood (ewwww)

I stopped the lovaza, but am restarting it today. I will probably wait another few days till i speak with the Doc, on restarting the daily aspirin routine.
As i think i mentioned in another thread, biopsy came back negative, so I'm clear for now.
