Bone pain return after ADT failure?

I'm in the midst of my HT. As to bone pains, I have some in areas that are marked as suspicious. They might be PCa, but also may simply be degeneration of the bones.

As to the <.15, I would have to work under the idea that the lab changed the test they offer. Use of the < sign implies less than the minimum for the test. Best to ask the doc, and the lab.

142 -- I hope it's what you're talking about, and just general aches and pains, I know those are SEs of some of the drugs he's on

Jerry -- I'd bet the doctors are looking at more stuff, the bloodwork is definitely detailed, but PSA is the only marker I know much about (I also check to make sure the testosterone and that dihydrotest...or something like that, super concentrated T is the way I think of it) is low, and that vitamin D levels are good. I don't necessarily think he's reached the limits on HT, I just was worrying that he was because after several back-pain-free months, he was complaining of the back pain that like what he had before going on HT. Prior to getting nervous about this, I was banking on beating the odds and getting years out of HT. And yes, he's being treated by a med onc...I got that advice in response to my first HW posting, and I followed it.

Zufus -- I did know some people have aggressive PCa with low PSA, but I was thinking that you either had that kind or you didn't, and just before diagnosis, his PSA was spiking - 40 one week, 60 two weeks later. So I thought the one piece of good news back then was that at least he didn't have that stealth kind. But you're right, there's no law limiting you to one variant, and this stuff morphs around.

I know if ADT works for you, on average a person with metastatic PCa gets 8 months of effectiveness. And before he started ADT, I wasn't taking it for granted he'd get even that, since he had a lot of discouraging indicators. But I did get my hopes up when his PSA dropped so low.

12 hours later, I'm feeling better about things. I decided to get busy and think about other stuff. I actually started on my taxes -- you know you're worried when doing your taxes starts to look good! But it gave me other preferable things to worry about and I'm back to willing myself into optimism
