Where can i buy Phentolamine Mesylate for Injection (brand name Regitine, ingredient of Trimix)?

I 've used trimix. But this can not be made anymore, because Regitine is worldwide of marked. Novartis, the manufacturer of Regitine has emailed me this after I asked of this was true.

So i think the ingredient in the Trimix that you use is made of Phentolamine Mesylate for Injection from this company:

Does someone know where i can buy Phentolamine Mesylate for Injection (it's a generic name, formerly also known as Regitine)?
Maybe a pharmacy or so that ships outside the US.
Can also someone check with his pharmacist what brand of Phentolamine Mesylate they use now to make the trimix?

That is an interesting problem to solve -- what do do if you can't use Phentolamine.

I noticed that the PATENT (09/084849) for Trimix mentions you can also use phentolamine hydrochloride instead of P. Mesylate.

Maybe your creative compounding pharmacy could rustle up some of that instead?

Or even work with your doc to make a BI-TRIMIX that, unlike regular BIMIX has the Alprostadil+Papaverine as the two compunds -- maybe
double the Papa amount or something.

(and if that aches too much you could throw in the fourth compound (used to make QUAD-MIX) which is Atropine (mostly for discomfort control).

Ah-ha, Now I understand. Sorta... Do I understand Norvartis stopped worldwide? If worldwide, then are there other manufacturers making the same thing? Is there a risk that Trimix may become extinct worldwide, if there is only one company making it and that company has stopped producing it? All interesting questions. I'm glad you brought this subject up, looks as if we can spend lots of time figuring it out.

Freddy, I've also emailed a couple of mail order compounding pharmacies to ask what brand they use, and any alternatives they could suggest that would be a effective if the phentolamine isn't available for the compound.

I just bought my Trimix (with a prescription) from Pharmacy Creations, 540 Route 10 West, Randolph NJ 07869 Phone 1-973-328-8756 Pharmacist's name: Scott Karolchyk
It is Trimix #1 (16.7/0.56/0.0056) MG/ML injectable
Papaverine hydrochloride 0.0835GM; *Phentolamine 0.6ML; *Alprostadil 0.075 ML
in a 5ML vial. (It works.) It cost $51 and needed to be shipped in a cooler.

The only number that makes sense to me is the first one. Note that the last two ingredients had an asterisk next to them but there was nothing about it on the form.

I live in NY and can buy a shotgun at the local discount store but I cannot buy medical products without a prescription. I couldn't even buy an incontinence clamp yet I can get a handgun and ammunition at the sporting goods store down the road.
I wish I could buy it for you but I would probably be sent to ED prison. ;-)

Phentolamine hydrochloride is not available here.
So this is not an option.

A prescription is not a problem. But i think not every pharmacy in the US takes a prescription from another country.

I've seen that i have yesterday, at this email address [email protected], already asked them of they deliver to Belgium.

This is a really old thread. Perhaps if you could start your own thread and tell us what problem you are looking to solve we could help. There are a number of us here who use intercavernosal injections. It's mostly Trimix but other guys have worked out their own custom mixes with the help of the urologists who write the scrips.
