biofeedback

What have everyone's experiences been like. I am 3.5 months post surgery, one to two pads a day, more If I'm doing alot of walking...no improvement at all in last 2 months... asked Surgeon to write me a referral, not covered by insurance, so want to see if anyone found value in it..

thanks--- thats what I was thinking, do a few sessions, and learn how to do it properly, then do it on my own, much like any form of phyical therapy-

Sounds like a very good thing to do. It's amazing what a little PT or biofeedback can do.

I just recently did it.  I thought it was cool.  I was able to watch the screen and see when I was using the correct muscles, and to what extent.  I had been doing the excercises correctly, though not with the correct intensity.  I learned to add a tension band, and a squeeze ball to my routine.  I learned that there were muscles in the front and the rear.  Also - rather than my 3 sets of 10 daily, they jacked me up to 10 sets of 10 daily.  And the intensity level needs to be pencil breaking squeezes.  We did an 8 week plan, and it definitely helped.  Seeing when you were stressing the right muscles to the max helps.  It was my last gasp effort before elective surgery.  But alas, in my case, after 18 months, there's a sling in my future.
