A non-problem here. From the onset (2009) I decided to tell
no one and that's the way it stands today with the exception of my wife, family Doc and Oncologist.
Given my particular medical prognosis, 2014 (statistically) is the end of the line. Friends, relatives, neighbors, former business associates, squadron mates, etc. will get the news when they read my obituary (which I've already written) and not before. In so doing, I've eliminated the awkward, let's feel sorry for Mitch but don't know how to act around him syndrome.
Everyone here has to paddle their own canoe; this is the way I want it.
