We just got hubby's first PSA results following his initial Lupron shot. He's finally down to 0.72 (post surgery and pre-injection he was 3.81). He's postponing a decision on provenge for now. He's to repeat the PSA and get another Lupron injection in April.

.72 is good for ht start. I know nothing about
provenge, though I thougt that was for advanced case. Your hubby is a long way from there. Let the HT do it thing. .72 indicates tiny bit of cancer, save the big guns for when you need it , and you may never need it. I m telling anyone will ing to hear.
The medicos will do what you want , if you think you need it and they don't do it, they start thinking liability, rightly so. And they will go ahead with it. My opinion only. I think of SRT with a .09, not you, but others and think, that is a a mighty small target for that scattering of radiation to get at. IDK. Heck just off the top of my head I'd wait till a dre picks up some thing in the bed, at least its an aiming point. Again, these are questions for doctor. I am not one. totally speculating and take it as such.

worriedabout
hubby,
Down is not good it's "great"!! Please go out and celebrate with a good bottle of Mosel wine from Germany..I'm in your husband's camp and tend to go with what Logo said--"give lupron a chance".
It may take 2 shots but I'll bet that on hubby's 3rd shot after surgery his psa is undetectable--below .1..
With his surgery you guys have "debulked" almost all of it and the lupron may kept what remains in check until hubby is a grumpy old man like me.
Facts and figures don't lie But? I'm a very simple man but can't understand how provenge has no effect on PSA..When that is explained to my satisfaction then I'll move to their camp--sorry for being skeptical, but your hubby will probably never need it---Enjoy life since there are no guarantees!

That is SO great! Under 1 is my goal and you are already there. I totally agree with that "Celebrate" advice. Hmmmm Valentines Day is just around the corner. A combined celebration???!!??
