7 months after RP

It has been a long 7 months since my surgery and I guess would like to know if I am on track or not. I had the DeVince nerve sparing procedure and Doc said everything went well. I had a Gleason score of 6 and I had my 3 month visit with great news of my PSA being undetectable. From the very beginning my urinating problem wasn't that bad, with a month and a half of accidents solely because I coach football and I refused to stay off the field. I am only 46 years old and feel I am in pretty good shape, However the other nerve has me concerned. Right after surgery, well after the catheter was removed, I started experiencing 75% erections and thought I might be the lucky ones that you read about on this forum, but conditions have declined a good bit since then but with my little blue pill I am still able to have an erection enough for sex, however it takes some work. Am I on track? When should I look for more improvements? Any thoughts at all. I will appreciate them all.Thanks

Congratulations on the undetectable PSA. That is great progress. Otherwise it sounds like you're doing fine. It can take awhile (year or two) for the ED to fully recover. Keep working it - it should get better over time.

doinalright -- Sounds like you are indeed doing all right. Welcome to HW. Congrats on the Zero!!!

At 7 months: Undetectable, no incontinence issues except when you are reallly active, 75% without meds initially, but still penetration hardness with Viagra ... yeah you're you are on track all right!

The hope is undetectable at 3 months and beyond, of course. Expectations are continence by 12 months and ED resolution by 18 months to 2 years. So you are well on your way.

You are doing really well! I am now at just over two years are still have some ED although I can get an erection just good enough for intercourse. It was over a year before I started to get must usable response. Its a long process for most people so be patient with yourself.

It takes a lot of work. Rehab involves daily stimulation from what I was told my my surgeon's team. I was also on pills the first few months regardless of having sex to ensure blood flow. My wife and I became "sex addicts" a month after my operation. We were told to get very busy for rehab purposes and we listened. I've been very fortunate but I wouldn't discount my approach 30 days out as contributing to my success.
