in the old days, the scoping was done with a rigid device, and had read of reports of penis damage. however, most it not all doctors use flexible scopes and haven't heard of that being an issue.

does it hurt at all? and I am assuming that you haven mentioned this to your uro or doctor?

Sounds like Peyronies disease.

Yep, sounds like Peyronie's disease and more than likely some scar tissue was formed causing the bend. It is disconcerting - to say the least - but unless the degree of bend gets severe normal sexual relations are possible. I've heard the condition "calms itself" over time and the bend goes no further and often can resolve on its own. Science is working on a cure for it - Xiaflex injections (approved in Europe I think but don't quote me on that) - but I don't believe it has panned out thus far (I have what is called Dupuytren's contracture in both hands and doctors/researchers were thinking the two conditions are related).

Roger - what you describe does sound like Peyronie's.

if it is, there is no great medical solution at this time.
sometimes, it just goes away. sometimes it goes away or lessens with drugs or injections (dubious value as far as I'm concerned and no drug that I know of is specifically approved for it).
Xiaflex is being tested here. Xiaflex is used to treat Dupuytren's contractures in the hand - it essentially weakens the new grown cartilage? and then the doctor manipulates it manually to break it down. better now than surgical intervention of the hand.
Dupuytren's is associated with Peyronie's in some cases although the reverse is not valid. if you have Dupuytren's you may have a greater tendency to develop Peyronie's or with little or no direct injury.

now - given that my medical education comes from Google, I'd say that the evidence is not in yet as to whether Xiaflex works on Peyronie's and whether there is any difference from a clinical or treatment perspective from Duputren's associated Peyronie's or idopathic/injury based Peyronies.

there are surgical procedures to correct it - but it can/does shorten the length of the penis, and as we PCa people will attest - we have already lost some length, no desire to lose more.

the approach you chose depends also on how debilitating it is. if it is minor or if it completely precludes intercourse.

good luck with the Uro - hopefully it is not Peyronie's or you recover without intervention in time.
