4 year ann of my bladder/prostate cysectomy (RC)

For those who do not know me, I have my bladder & Prostate removed intially for Bladder Cancer, then they dectected Prostate Cancer and I go in for a PSA once a year now.. I also have a AUS for bladder control, (I have a NEO-Bladder instead of a normal one)

I came here to blog on my AUS then the prostate thing came to the forefront.

4 years ago I had my bladder removed, really got sick, had 13 procedures/surgeries in that time.

1 1/2 years ago I left my company and formed a new one in Conroe Texas (North of Houston) high-end furniture retail. So there is life after BC & PC!!

I was really sick 4 years ago. But I lived, went back to running.. Life goes on!! Hope yours goes on also!!

thanks for the update. its great to hear someone with such a positive attitude and positive results after such challenges. you say you run. i used to marathon and hope to again. how about you?

May try a half next year.. I have gotten back up to 7 mile runs but stay mainly in to 3 mile runs just based on time. The AUS allows me to run again.. before I wore a condum cath and that limited me to just walks.
