Great to hear from you and happy you are enjoying everyday.  I also agree as you know I will not go on any medications as long as I feel good regardless of what the numbers say, but I agree we all have to make out own choices regarding treatment.

I just came back to the computer and had a chance to see all of your well wishes. I feel fortunate to have such a host of friends and supporters. Thank you all. I have been blessed in many ways throughout my journey and finding you folks has to be one of the biggest blessings.

Still thinking of buying a 5th wheel and pulling your boat to fish around the country? My son got two 20 pound rainbows last week in the river. Glad to have you any time, and we will get you on the fish. I am glad you are staying the course you have planned. I am in Maui enjoying life as per your mantra. Just because we have PC life can go on, as you are the poster boy for living life to its fullest, an example for all of us.

No, didn't pull the trigger on 5th wheel. Still have the RV and will just rent the boats. But I like your style. You are fishing in Maui and I am planning a GFMPH fishing trip in Louisiana. We are doing the same thing, just with different wallets.

I may get back up to Idaho this summer. Don't be surprised to see me at your front door looking for a fishing trip.

You are an inspiration. My wife and I have planned on retiring, getting an RV, and spending a year going to every NASCAR race on the schedule, and fishing or hunting at every stop. I admire your drive. And your ride!

Thanks for the insight and I love it. I to had to tend with my wife's cancer so no time to care for myself. And strangely, I resign myself to living with cancer and tend to be a fatalist - what comes will come. Live life, that's why we are all here for...life and living for the moment. Thanks again for the great thoughts.

Sonny's - every day is a bonus -

- that simple phrase has touched so many of us here at HW - the strength and tenacity and love and support he has shown us through his words and actions
- that darling phrase knows no PSA numbers nor gleason scores - it transcends the conflict of Quality of Life vs. Quantity of Life...

... it's all up to you to decide -since regardless of AS, choice of treatment(s) every day is a bonus.

Thanks for the post. I hope to have the same attitude WHEN and IF I have to deal with a rise again.
So far so good but with positive margins, I am always fearful of a change in my status.

Many of us have followed you either from your posts or those of your friends..I can relate to the terror--ok, anxiety--that a 19-year old must have felt during an attack at DaNang, but cannot comprehend the sorrow that you must have felt while caring for your "soul mate" while
she was dying of cancer over an extended period of time. All that know you have commented on your valiant and compassionate journey.
It's your time now, so squeeze the most out of life.

I also lost my dearest, dearest wife just about two years ago, so, Lord help me, I also know what it's like to lose my soulmate.

Your so wonderfully positive attitude, despite what you yourself have been through, has been a model for me to follow, and follow it I have. I'm making every day a bonus for myself, as well.

I just posted a kind of tale about the importance of having a positive attitude during our battles with the beast. But that was just a tale, a story. What you have done, what you are doing, is living it, the real McCoy, actually putting words into practice.

You're a model for all of us in several ways, but for me especially, as I have said.
