Last night was our first time.

I was using a 20/1 bimix, .70 ml and a 27 guage needle.

It hurt a little when I first poked myself but it was ok after that. It started working in about 5 min but I only got to 50%. That did last about 40 minutes and it was all gone in 2 hrs.

My script says to use from .75 to 1ml. I stared off a little low because I didn't know what to expect.

      My question is if I use more will I get more than 50% or will it just last longer? I think I will try .75 next time.

I also had a dull pain at the base of my penis, is this normal?

    I was a little excited about having something that might work but we were both a little down on the outcome.

    I think back to what I read in here some place when someone told someone else that had prostate cancer. And they replied. "They were lucky that it was only prostate cancer." If they only knew how it does affect us both physically and mentally.

    I will keep trying with my first bottle and see what happens.

Nothing you report strikes me as unusual. The first few times can be a bit uncomfortable as you exercise tissues that have gotten used to being inactive. The stretchy bits take a while to remember how to stretch. As you exercise your hydraulics they will tend to be more comfortable and work better.

Your question about how you will react to a larger dose depends a bit on the details of your vasculature. If you have a venous leak then you will be less sensitive to increases in dosage and you will find that, as you say, your erections will last longer (since it takes longer for the blood flow to wash away the drugs) but you won't get much harder. On the other hand, men with good venocclusion can be very sensitive to dosage and a very small increase can cause the drugs to be trapped (along with the blood) so those men get a very hard, very long-lasting, and actually dangerous erection from just a smidge more than their correct dose. I think this happens less with bimix than with trimix (or straight alprostadil) but I am not sure.

That's why it's important to increase the dose slowly so you can avoid that trip to the emergency room. And once you find the right dose you should keep track of how long things stay at the ready, and think about reducing your dose if you find that it is more than you need.

27 ga needle is like using a railroad spike.

My syringes come with a 27ga mounted. You use that one to draw the med into the syringe, then change out the needle for the 30ga they include on the side.

Two reasons. The syringe comes standard with a 27ga, and a good doc or nurse knows that the needle is dulled by pushing it through the vial seal.

See is you can get some 30's on the side. MUCH less painful. A little slower to inject, but MUCH less painful.

I use a 31 gauge 8mm needle and I use it to draw and to inject. You have to be a little careful not to bend the needle but it doesn't matter if it gets blunted a little going through the seal on the bottle. It is so fine that you could grind the end off square and it would still be more comfortable than the sharpest 27 gauge needle.

Yeah the short, yellow, diabetic needles, 31 gauge, 5/16 length are the best. I've been doing trimix for almost 5 years, it takes time to get right dose, I had a lot of misses along the way. Go with the 1000 and 200 positions on the penis, not the 900 and 300 that I was instructed to do (WRONG), gradually increase dose, keep the behind the counter sudafed handy, and be patient.............

   Thanks for the info on the needle size. The 27 g is the one they gave me and I will go back to see if I can get a 30 or 31 needle.

     I will keep trying. I had the sudafed 30mg from the begining. I was ready on that part but not the size of the needle.
